Anybody tried Royal Purple ?

 

 

I was using RP many years back when ty 1st started selling here. Its a very good oil but unfortunately their price kept increasing so I stopped using.

 

I find it in e same class as Mobil 1 [silver container]

 

I now use c@rlube 40weight fully synthetic at abt $25/5 lit.

 

Cheap n good enough fr day to day driving.

You mean x-rex actually claim in black n white their oil is made in usa but it is made in SG n INDO?

 

Isnt this under false claims? Cant CASE do anything? Maybe u can try n see if ty can get some compensation fm x-rev in SG.

 

Anyway i feel in SG now sellers r making all sorts of false claims n get away with it. Damm. 1st world country with 3rd world standards.

 

I don't know if RevX did claim their oil is made in USA or not. Cause all they print on the bottle is USA and the flag. There is no word saying its MADE IN USA. Of course, I don't believe their oil is made in USA. RevX is not a big company and its a new startup. Hence I bet they simply buy the base stocks from somewhere and buy the additives from another company (many companies actually sell additive packages for EO, eg lubrizol).

Castrol Edge is the best among the group but expensive

Amsoil has the same performance as Castrol Edge and is at a fraction of the cost, been using it since.

 

pls dun treat your car like crap.....dun give it c**lube.....its called synthetic oil and is supposed to last at least 10k..but well into 5k and the engine got rougher i swapped it out soon after.

 

I swear by Amsoil as well!! Cheap and Good. Well c-----e...... I can't use it because I need 50wt oil.

C.lube, it was selling for $19.90 for 4 litres.

 

I also bought VX from C4, $21.90 for 5 litres.

 

Which c.lube you referring to? Is it semi-synthetic you looking at? I know it comes in either 5 litre or 1 liter package, didn't know got 4 litre package?

 

VX I cannot find any info on the internet and the label on the bottle does not instill confidence in using. The name does not appear in API EOLCS Licensee website. This oil can claim anything on the label but I do not have confidence in using it like a synthetic oil.

It says fully syn on the bottle 5-40.

 

I suspect c-- ---e and triple R

are actually the same oil.

 

Btw X Gold and VX have the same

bottle, I suspect its the same company

and maybe even the same oil.

I personally use ultraman followed by astroboy 5w40 from 60k till now 130k.

 

These are good oil with good power and i can get it at a much cheaper price as compare to Autobacs of $98/4L.

all these oils are just rebadged oils and spray some pee inside and slap on a fancy name

do u mean shell helix ultra is not as good? i thot it was preferred motor oil for some AD like C&C n KM?

 

although i heard fr many in some car forums that FC fr usin this EO not satisfactory, but peace of mind of usin AD recognized EO was smthg i kinda preferred.

Agree. AD bought this oil cheap cheap at bulk quantity, then charge servicing price high high, getting good profit margin. Same as they sell the car.
