Turbocharged

Hi people,

I drive a 2.3l Cefiro (aound 4 years old 35000km) and I am noticed since yesterday that when I start my car after like 8+ hours of inactivity, the engine sounds very different, much louder wheezing sound.

It goes off after 3-5 mins. Thinking of sending it down for checks on monday but just checking here if there is a simple fix that I can do.

I have checked the engine oil and it looks ok. anything else I should check? I really don't know anything about cars.

thanks for any help

Maybe the oil filter don't come with a check valve, so when you kill the engine the engine oil in the lub gallery starts to flow backward into the sump. On starting up the engine, the oil pump will need slightly more time to pump & fill up the lub gallery before sufficient volume of oil pressure reaches the cylinder head rocker assemble. The noises maybe cause by metal to metal contact from this very short period of oil starvation.

Turbocharged

went to tan cheong and the problem is burst power steering hose leading to the oil leak out.

cost me $570 to change the hose!!

2 months after warranty and now give me problems. I always service with tan cheong as I think it is more reliable.....

now I think I want to go somewhere else... anyone has good recommendations for nissan car servicing? I live near yck mrt.
