Nabey,In Thailand they got extra accessories.Maybe Proton think that Singaporean only about Toyotas and Hondas only,There also got Savvy H-Line,Saga FL(All power window),R3 satria Neo,Persona Elegance,Gen2 CPS,Waja CPS here all those old stock..Must Singapore Proton owner press Singapore side?

 

 

I already said long time ago that we in Singapore not only pay high price but also not get better accessory car.

 

does this also contributed to the pan up frustration [:p]

SkTan, I sent my car to Singapore Proton Service centre twice, they checked and said no problem, just monitor to see whether the FC goes higher :wacko:

 

Panhard, my last service done in end January and the mileage was 18K + then. However, I took the 20K km service package. As for the petrol, I'm using Shell 95. My tyre pressure is 210 for both front and rear. My next service is 30K and now my mileage is 23K. When am I suppose to change the air-filter & spark plugs? I changed mine during the 20K km service.

 

If I go to JB to check, am I suppose to wait there? Is there any shopping mall within the walking distance?

 

Anyone can help to solve my FC problem [bigcry]

My tyre pressure is 210 for both front and rear.

--try putting 220 in front & 250 at the rear(make sure its done when car is cold-if you are doing when hot-just add 20 more to the pressure)

When am I suppose to change the air-filter & spark plugs? I changed mine during the 20K km service.

--at 20k, your spark plugs have already been replaced but not the air-cleaner- so get the air cleaner replaced!

with these 2 done properly, you should see some improvement on your FC

Panhard, thank you very much! Can I get the air cleaner change in Singapore Proton Service centre? or I need to do it elsewhere? Sorry [:/] I'm not familiar with car.

if you are driving north, any workshop there can do it....its not expensive.

infact, its pretty easy-you can change it yourself too- just 3 clips & a screw.

 

otherwise can replace it at proton s'pore.

 

for the exora auto, you should be getting around 9.5L/100km (+/-)

with 50% city & 50% highway drive on normal specs.

My fc has also suffered quite a bit. Not sure y. Mayb like panhard said...5w30 EO not that gd for this car.

since day 1 have always been using the stock air filter & spark plugs.

 

only thing is agent replace spark plugs every 20k & air filter every 40k.

in my case, i replace the spark plugs every 10k & air filter every 20k.

 

i get these parts from proton edar which are original & cheap in m'sia.

 

my engine oil I'm currently using is the OWS 5w40 syn oil. which I

replace every 10k.(engine much quieter & smoother even right up to 10k use)

 

I check & refill my tyre pressure every 2 weeks to frt-220 & rear 250

without fail.

 

using SPC 98 octane petrol---currently my FC is around best 9.5 to worse 10L/100km

depending on driving & traffic conditions.

 

never has my FC ever hit pass the 10.5L/100km mark even in worse situations!

Sellers of the Exora are making use of the high COE prices to really profit a considerable amount in the used car market. I remember the launch price of the Exora was $55k about a yr ago? Now they're selling for $65k in the used car market. Of course, the new model is going for $85k thereabouts?

 

I did have a chance to sit in the Toyota Avanza in Batam. I must say, the 1.5L engine is decent! I sat in the 3rd row, and I wasn't cramp at all, even having sat with a buff guy next to me.

 

Someone should bring in the Avanza 1.5G 4AT if BM refuses to. There's great profit to be made out of this car!

 

The closest 1.5L MPV would be the Toyota Passo Sette only offered by PI locally. Malaysia does sell the Perodua Alza of course.

 

The Exora remains to be the largest mid-size MPV to buy here with a 1.6L engine. Just a pity, their turbo engine is still questionable as to the production date, and when it'll eventually make it to Singapore's shores. By then, COE would have probably broken the $50k barrier, thanks to an infiltration of continental cars with 1.6T engines [Citroen C5 and darn Volvo's!!!]

bro, u try to calculate ur FC by the amt of petrol u fill up. cos according to my car's calculation, my FC is ard 9.9l/km, which is abt 10.1 km/l. but...using the amt of petrol i fill up n the distance travelled, my fc is only ard 8.5km/l. a lot of difference!

I think u over-do la! :o

My stock air-filter & stock spark plug need change only every 40K according to agent package.

10K your spark-plug still in very good condition.Dont waste your money even it is cheap.

Trip computer is always not accurate.

U must minus 0.5 to 1km under real world conditions.
