Panhard 1st Gear March 9, 2011 Share March 9, 2011 Just wanna know, when would the Turbo model for the Exora come in? by the time it reach our shore--2012
Proton_neutron 1st Gear March 9, 2011 Share March 9, 2011 by the time it reach our shore--2012 I think by then Proton would have come out with a new Exora, and then with the 1.6Turbo engine as an option. But the current 125bhp Exora has an OMV of $14.4k. I estimate the Turbo Exora to have an OMV of $2k more, at $16.4k. So the selling price after dealer profit of $10k and COE est $45k would be around $93,000 which is way too expensive for affordability.
Shorty Turbocharged March 9, 2011 Share March 9, 2011 ya! was using 10w30 for the 1k & 5K service-- then at 10k when they changed it using ows full syn. to 10w40 noticed engine is more quieter, so 20k also continue with 10w40 grade.... FC wise- not much change but can feel pick-up & acceleration smoother... so far so good, remember i mentioned about some clicking noise from the dashboard earlier, well, the service people managed to solve it for me...now the car even more quiet. other then the replacement of the air-con temp switch which was faulty(under warranty)-causing a/con to freeze, the exora has been perfect so far! nowadays i seldom monitor my fc. but i know it's ard 10km/l. plus minus 0.5km/l. so its ok la. now still dunno when can look ard in msia to get a better air filter. might improve on pick up. Proton_neutron 1st Gear March 9, 2011 Share March 9, 2011 If only Proton added sliding 2nd row seats, and a higher 3rd row seat, and more power to the engine, they would have created one of the best MPV's in the world!!

SGXora Clutched March 10, 2011 Share March 10, 2011 Bro, how about you too! done your 20k svcs yet! anything to share on your ride so far. already 1 year down the road.. Hi Panhard, after the servicing, can feel the car engine more quieter and the pickup improve. i did for routine 20k servicing, the people there change the part accroding to the package except my Spark plug which i already changed to Iridium (OWs) during my 10K servicing. The clicking sound on the deskborad is on and off, i told them also about the buzzling sound when accelerate, the thing improve after servicing but still can "feel" it. one thing i need advise from the bro & sis here, during warm up, before the blue wire sign goes off, will your heard any sound from the engine compartment? Panhard 1st Gear March 10, 2011 Share March 10, 2011 was having some "chirping" sound --happens when cold starting & hot too esp. when acon compressor cut-in. this made the engine running sound noisy. they replaced the belt idler pulley bearing---problem solved! heard another exora at the service centre with same noise too. maybe you can get them to check it. could be common on exoras but the acon fan does sound pretty loud- maybe fan more powerful so better cooling

D325 Neutral Newbie April 13, 2011 Share April 13, 2011 I'm letting go my aug 09 blue exora. I've installed cool max seat covers for all the 7 seats.... no matter how long you you park the car under the hot sun... your seats don't get hot... also, i've recently changed a new set of Good year duraplus tires... its said to last 100k km... reason for letting go is because my uncle bought a MPV lately also.... used to be me fetching my grandmother... now my uncle do that most of the time because he staying nearer to my grandmother... so find that overkill to keep the car... let me know what's your budget like... see if we can strike a deal... car is still in wonderfull condition and under agent warrenty... you can contact me at 96460683. my name is Thomas. Thanks.
