Sabian Turbocharged July 21, 2009 Share July 21, 2009 Apparently the helmet didn't help much...... sibi ai wan as u mentioned...if his speed was a little slower/ faster, it may have turned out differently. wonder if a driver is able to duck his head below the entrance of the driver seat (but that is if he saw it early enough to react) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Racing these days are so safe that its impossible to die from a crash. i think this is something for F1 to be concerned about too as the cars are similar. Elfenstar 3rd Gear July 21, 2009 Share July 21, 2009 Apparently the helmet didn't help much...... The helmet wasn't the problem. it did its job. We suspect it was a broken neck like Senna. The cockpit for F2 cars is lower. The top of it is roughly around the height of mid to top of the drivers neck. F1, and Formula V6 cars (I'm not sure about the other formula cars) have it have it around mid-helmet or just under mid-helmet height. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
