  3. Schoolgirl killed in freak accident: Lawnmower blade sliced open part of skull Feb 14, 2018 SEREMBAN - Nor Afini Roslan, the Form Two student killed in a freak accident involving a lawnmower, was a keen archer who had only just moved to Gemas from Pahang with her father-cum-coach before the new school term began last month. Nor Afini, 14, was on the SMK Tuanku Abdul Rahman field preparing for Sports Day when a broken blade from the ride-on lawnmower sliced open part of her skull at 10.30am yesterday. She was with a group of about 50 students at the time. Nor Afini was killed instantly while two other students - her classmate Abdullah Hazlan and Form One student Mohd Farhan Reza Badrol Hesam - were injured and taken to the Gemas health clinic for treatment. Norizzah said she was in class when she got a call from her older brother Roslan Samat, 55, Nor Afini's father. She rushed to her nephew's class and broke the news to him. When met at home in Felda Sg Kelamah, Muhammad Addim, 10, said he was very close to Nor Afini, who always helped him with his homework. "She was the one I used to play with and fight with most of the time. "I don't know who will manja (pamper) me from now on," said Muhammad Addim, the youngest of the five siblings. One of Nor Afini's schoolmates, who declined to be identified, said the lawnmower operator was cutting the grass a short distance from where the students had gathered. "All of a sudden, we heard screams. Nor Afini collapsed and we were shocked to see how bad her injury was," she said. Another of Nor Afini's aunts, who chose to remain anonymous, said at the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital (TJH) mortuary here that the girl had represented Pahang in archery. She said Nor Afini was so passionate about the sport that she decided to follow her father when he moved to Gemas to work on the family's oil palm plot. "My brother trained Nor Afini and her three older siblings in archery and they all went on to represent Pahang in the sport. "In fact, Muhammad Addim, who is in Year Four, has also taken up the sport," she said. Nor Afini's body was initially taken to Tampin Hospital for a post-mortem but police then decided to conduct it at TJH. Roslan, who accompanied his daughter's body to TJH in a police Land Rover, burst into tears as photographers and television crews rushed towards the vehicle. Seated alone at the back, Roslan had to be helped out by relatives. State Health and Education Committee chairman Datuk Shamsulkahar Mohd Deli said the authorities would investigate the incident. Tampin OCPD Supt Hamazah Abd Razak said police have detained the 26-year-old lawnmower operator. "We are still investigating and hope to remand him tomorrow," he said, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 304 of the Penal Code for manslaughter. http://www.asiaone.com/malaysia/schoolgirl-killed-freak-accident-lawnmower-blade-sliced-open-part-skull?xtor=EREC-16-4[Emarsys_Newsletter]-20180214&extid=6934d0cfb7b252f1ae9f0dbddf5ff88ca8637e77

    Freak Result

Any lost for PAP in GE - Freak result. Singaporeans that voted for opposition and cause PAP to lose - Freaks Is that what PAP is trying to imply? We can see that if PAP is doing such a GOOD JOB, then why are they afraid of freak result? Surely people will vote PAP and freak result wont happen isnt it? Or is it because Singaporeans need to be "educated" because Singaporeans dont know how to vote during election? Every single general election, the PAP will say freak result might happen if Singaporeans dont vote properly. IF that is the case, then what is the point of election? Since Singaporeans "dont know how to vote"? What is the point of giving Singaporeans the right to vote? Wayang democracy is it? Instead of talking about their manifesto, policies to implement in future to fulfill the promises in their manifesto, talk about issues that concern Singaporeans, yesterday and today the PAP keep talking about freak result and the need to know that voting is serious etc. We can see that the PAP still like to talk down on Singaporeans and tell Singaporeans how to do this and that and treat Singaporeans like kids. I think Singaporeans are indeed like kids because we allow the PAP to manipulate us into accepting ERP, COE, high salary for the ministers, and allow FT to come in like nobody's business.
  9. What will you do first thing if there is a freak result? will you take the red and white (not white and white) national flag and stick it on a bamboo stick to run around your neighbourhood? for those pigs in animal farm, i think they will be taking their evacution flight out of the island to their holiday island in indonesia liao. 10. Today witnessed a really freak accident in a MSCP, this one take the cream of the crop of all accidents. I was going down the MSCP following a car in front of me, as we were descending from the 4th level, the car in front suddenly smashed head onto a car that was driving up the slope !! Luckily I managed to stop in time and didnt rear end the car in front. I went out of my car and saw both cars' front were badly smashed. can you imagine the force of a car descending and crash head onto a car ? goodness me, this is one freak accident. The car driving up the slope was driven by a old man with all white hair. anyone ever heard of such accident ? i almost cannot stop amusing but also felt very angry for the victim.

Policeman hospitalised after training accident He fell and hit his head on the ground after colliding with another trainee during a sprinting exercise. -AsiaOne Tue, Jan 25, 2011 AsiaOne SINGAPORE - A Singapore Police Force trainee has been hospitalised after he hit his head on the ground during a physical training exercise. Hoe Qing Ren, 21, was taking part in a sprinting exercise when he collided with another trainee. He then fell to the ground and hit his head. The incident occurred at the Home Team Academy off Old Choa Chu Kang Road. His elder brother Qing An told The Straits Times that he had two clots in his brain and had undergone two operations at the National University Hospital to relieve the pressure. Doctors were starting to take him off sedatives because of his stable condition. However, he remains unconscious. The other trainee, Muhammad Haziq Haris, 20, injured his left shoulder The Straits Times also reported that the commander of the Home Team Academy's Training Command, Assistant Commissioner of Police Zuraidah Abdullah, had suspended the sprinting exercise pending further review. Other aspects of physical training will continue. The sprint exercise, also known as "Fun Relay", involves two trainees from opposite sides sprinting towards an instructor in the centre. It is meant to help trainees with the shuttle run station in the Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT).

  18. I received an email from a freaked dad, some mass mail kinda thing, what do you think of this Dad?: For those who might have kids who were 12 years old, it was definitely an exciting day for many yesterday, especially the Mom and Dads out there. Why was it so? It was the release of results for PSLE (Primary School Leaving Examination). I was there with my son Brandon to collect his PSLE results. Guess what, he had an amazing result. He managed 178 points. For a moment, I nearly freaked out. He did not manage to get into the Express Stream as the cut off point was 188. As for me, I was kind of stunned initially as I had managed 4As and an aggregate of 241 when I took my PSLE 22 years back. As Brandon stared at the result slip, tears started dropping from the side of his eyes. He was devastated but deep inside his heart, he knew that he had not made the necessary effort. Of course I felt a little bad as well as I had been really busy with my business and had neglected him. If your kid had scored 178, I think you wouldn't be sleeping well at night. You must be probably preparing the cane and planning a whipping session. You would probably be hurling abuses at your kid or telling him or her how disappointed you were...not me. Guess what I told him? I said, "Brandon, welcome to the real world. You hadn't suffered any setback in life yet. This is the harsh reality of life. What you sow is what you reap and you should stare hard at the reactions of the other pupils. Many of them are enjoying the success of their efforts while you were distracted by the games and tv. It is better for you to suffer the setback now than later." This is not the end, I told him. I then asked him, "Are you a loser?". He said No and I told Brandon, "You are a loser now! You have a choice, you can choose to be only a loser now or you can be a loser for life. I was a loser once but I changed myself and got back onto track." In life there will be a lot of setbacks. When you encounter them, just look at the bright side. Overcome your setbacks and you will end up into higher ground. Get swallowed by it and you will be a goner.
