Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear August 21, 2009 Share August 21, 2009 why do you need the car to tell you that doors are open...it's obvious enough through the rear ceiling lights or you just opened the car? the E-Class also has the speedo digitised in the middle screen, like in most mercs...i hate the analogue one...mercedes should give the option to customers between analogue&digital speedometer...i will definitely choose the Digital one... is the new mercedes E-Class much more spacious than the current one (taxi version)? the current one i find quite small...especially the rear seats and width of the car... It will indicate rear right door, rear left door, even indicate boot opened. Isn't this something nice to have when cars tell you through display what exactly is wrong. A display in the MB is a wonderful feature that is nice to have and I simply love it. It will tell me which bulb is not working and which bulb is used as a backup for the blown one. This makes life easy. ABout the digital speedo, you can always select for the display to show in digital number and you get your digital display. Civic2000 Supercharged October 2, 2009 Share October 2, 2009 OMV is very similar? OMV surely not the same. C & C usually has a higher OMV. You also need to look at the equipment and accessaries level. The price of Merz is very depend on the level of equipment and accessories. PI's Merz are imported from UK, as UK is the only country in Europe that is having right hand drive, and car/goods imported from UK are normally priced in English Pound, whereas the imports from German are termed in Euro. Davc Neutral Newbie October 2, 2009 Share October 2, 2009 If the car is much cheaper, even if OMV is just a little less is OK. What matters is the depreciation per year. So that's P&L, if you look at the cashflow it's another thing. Also if the car is more expensive, even if have high OMV, more of your money is 'stuck' with the car which could be used for investment etc. For PI case, maybe you want to consider whether you can claim the parts as easily as C&C? How about if there is a recall although unlikely? But if I get 5 yr warranty, I'll drive the car hard, down shift hard. haha.

Soon or later, wif cost cutting, software update will only be available via server download from factory. Outside workshop may not have access to those update. Cerano 1st Gear October 2, 2009 Share October 2, 2009 actually C&C service sucks. they cant even do simple programming to retrofit a Comand APS (I-drive/MMI) for our vehicles. they give the excuse "We believe that factory parts are best" So up till today we have to get experts from overseas to do the coding for our Comand retrofits. In fact, outside workshops like MBM are easily as EXPERIENCED as the AD workshops. for BMW i guess it would be juzz for cars ↡ Advertisement
