Simple straight forward. Give an idiot 100m pounds to buy up all the best players and he will bring back the trophies. Just look at Man U, Chelsea and Man C, all injected so much money. Where is Mark Hughe last few seasons? Suddenly he is the man this season. Look at Jose Mourihno, You think he suddenly one morning woke up and found the formula to win the title for Chelsea two times in a row after 50 years? When Burnley and Wigan can beat a top 4 side, this opens up the league to top sides dropping points. When Rafa won the league with Valencia against Real Madrid and Barcalona, he was never at top of La Liga but had to always win the last few games of the season. JumpySpeedFiend 2nd Gear October 7, 2009 Share October 7, 2009 (edited) will rafa b daring enuf to drop carra? i would hv dropped carra after 3 games wif the performances he's given lately. not the old carra. if agger is fit, will rafa ever consider him into the starting 11?or now..he can actually try n let the greek guy play with skertel. carra making too many mistakes. time for him to sit on the bench n reflect. lucas...i hv said enuf abt him. riera can play...but now benayoun in better form then him...so better to let benny play. sometimes rafa's selection leaves much to b desired. If Rafa had no hesitation dropping Stevie to the bench, I really do not see why he dare not drop Carra. The only reason why Carra is holding on to his place is due to Agger's injury and the Greek guy might not be doing better than him. Agger and Skrtel is likely the next central pairing and they complement each other perfectly, just like how Hyypia and Carra complement each other. Lucas has improved tremendously this season and he is still VERY young. The journalists always pick you for a thrashing whenever Liverpool did not get a result which I think is freaking unfair to the lad. Rafa is the boss and his decision must be respected. He is paid to do the job and I truly believe he made his selection after due consideration on the pros and cons of having Riera or Benny to start. It is always easy for us to criticise on hindsight but we "preferred" selection might not work out as well and we will never be proven right or wrong. Keep the faith, the season is far from over. I am thinking of writing to ST, asking them to consider having different packages to cater for different sectors of football fans. For those crazy ones, they can sign up the full package and enjoy all the matches telecast. At the same time, maybe they can also cater for those like me who only want to watch Liverpool games and allow me to sign up a limited package to do just that. What do you guys think?
