Miles 4th Gear January 7, 2010 Share January 7, 2010 i had mixed feedback about PML and C&C sales man from friends..... but mostly positive ones. but for PA, i got unanimously similar feedback all the time.... that is the same type of attitude they give you. i got the same treatment.... perhaps the salesmen are really pi $$ off with their employer, or they are so well fed that they dont need to make another sale. There are only 2 AD that provides consistently good service - BM Lxs & SMM ↡ Advertisement
Audifan2sg Neutral Newbie January 9, 2010 Share January 9, 2010 I read from some overseas reviews that there are reliability issues with Audi Q5. I saw quite a number of Q5 on Singapore roads. Really hope that the owners can share their experience of the car here.
Leepee 1st Gear January 10, 2010 Author Share January 10, 2010 Car allowance for me is $800 per month. Fuel only comes up to at most ~$300+ per month. Since the car is Fully paid up, I technically can legally claim on the petrol part. The installment part is unrealised 'lost' of salary if you look at it being not fully used up the $800. Anyone know where I can get a second hand Q5 pls PM me. Very interested to get one soon. It will allow me to maximise my monthly car allowance to sort of technically increase my salary by ~$500, by owning the 'new' car. Thanks. LeePee, care to share how much your company is willing to reimburse you for car allowance since your SSS only use up half only.
MadDog70 2nd Gear January 10, 2010 Share January 10, 2010 (edited) Bro audifan2sg, You could thank him for this bad attitude and walk over to the cover to ask for a better SE. At Honda showroom, I was serviced by a female SE which I find her too busy with her phone calls. The next day when I went back to the showroom, I told the counter that I would like to have another SE to serve me because I do not like her service. I was lucky to be served by a gentleman called Alex, his service is good who is very technically sound. Alex told me that it is not right to change SE, but I find it awkward because as a customer, we can do anything we want, right? Why should you let him earn the money when his service is no good, you can always find a better one in the showroom that you feel comfortable with. Treeweeldog Neutral Newbie January 11, 2010 Share January 11, 2010 Had quite a nice experience with Audi SE when my friend was looking to buy a car late last year. He was considering between a Z4 and an SLK. Being young, though with self made wealth, he wasn't treated very well at the showrooms, ( I guess they didn't think he was serious, though he asked proper questions to aid his decision, and had already booked a test drive for both). Decided to look at VW and Audi just for comparisons sake. VW didn't treat us well either, totally brushing us off, but at Audi, an SE greeted us and managed to convince my friend to come back to test drive an A5 which unfortunately they didn't have at that moment. Because of the SE and the subsequent test drive, my friend bought an A5. If you'd like his name, I could always dig up his card, thinking of calling im up when I decide to change cars. Xtrocious 1st Gear January 20, 2010 Share January 20, 2010 edit: CX-7 was also once on my radar. The old model is 2.3 turbo. But new model no more turbo. Yes, no more. Off Mazda's price list. But heard FC not very good though. Then which SUV's FC is good one, except Rush/Terios. IMO, the losing of CX-7 off the price-list is like a limb lost from a body like that. Mazda's line-up will never be complete ever again They are holding off the sale of the CX-7 until the new model arrives some time in March I think... There are two engines now - a 2.4l non-turbo (if I recall correctly) and the 2.3l turbo... I still love the look of the old CX-7 and the turbo drive is very addictive...much better than my current compressor ride...hahah
Xtrocious 1st Gear January 20, 2010 Share January 20, 2010 FYI, Volvo is in the process of being sold to Geely. I am also considering Audi Q5 or Merc E-class for a 2nd car. Go for Q5 because I already owned a sedan. But, I think Merc E-class may have better resale value. Just to share my bad experience at the Audi (Premium Automobiles) showroom recently. I think Audi cars deserve better sales persons. Arrived the showroom in cab with my family as I was going to collect my car which is at the workshop nearby for servicing. Met this guy with 'look you no up' attitude. I told him I am looking for a 2nd car and I am considering either a coupe or a SUV since we already owned a sedan. Told him what car we are currently driving and he started criticising. Never mind, we took it as fair comments. He told us to look at the prices first before we proceed to look at the cars. Fair enough, we need to know the prices before we proceed. In fact, I knew the prices before I step into the showroom. But, me and my wife both felt that he gave us the impression that we cannot afford it. Then, we proceeded to look at A5. This is when we confirmed that he is not interested to serve us. While we were looking at the car, he went to look outside the windows. This was the last straw, I decided to tell him off. After that, he tried to explain with loads of craps. Audi has been doing a good job in promoting the brand globally in the last few years. It is not worth it to be spoilt by sales persons who feel that they are more important than their customers. Hey, I had the same experience as you... We were looking to change our car and were eyeing either the A4, A5 or Q5... But the SEs there really CMI... The first one assigned to me (an old chap) wasn't even bothered, just ask me to look around and he disappeared... Then we went to a group of SEs chatting among themselves and this lady SE really gave us a "you can't afford attitude"... Reluctantly allowed us to test the A4 but not the A5 - she had the cheek to say the drive is the same...WTF So we voted with our feet... The next weekend we went over to C&C and after three hours there (testing 3 different models), we signed on the spot for a C200... The SE was pleasantly surprised as not many walk-in customers sign on the spot... As much as we still like the Audi, the company (Audi itself) needs to relook at its distributor or else it will just undo a lot of marketing and advertising effort...
