Audi Q5

For me, $160K SUV - either the BMW X3, or a Stage 1 / 2 modded VW Tiguan and keep the balance $$$.

Q5? Naaah

 

Used to love X3, but after Q5 came out, I find X3 looks too boxy. Anyway, also found out that it doesn't suit my ICE requirements without some major operations.

the Q5 of course the interior is top class. But in terms of the ride itself, I say get the xc60. The safety in the XC60 is impeccable.

 

If you want a suchi, I say get the CX-7. That has one of the better designs and that is why i bought it

CX-7 was also once on my radar. The old model is 2.3 turbo. But new model no more turbo. But heard FC not very good though. Then which SUV's FC is good one, except Rush/Terios.

IMO, the losing of CX-7 off the price-list is like a limb lost from a body like that. Mazda's line-up will never be complete ever again

White Q5 is really nice if one could afford. Nice Pickup 7secs...... no need to step hard, the car seemly pulls away effortlessly !!!!!

 

Plus sunroof and auto tailgate , no horse run. price from PI after bargin 15Xk !!!!!!!!!!

 

Exterior wise,, Volvo XC60 is sharper....BMW X1 looks good too....but engine cannot compare to 2l Turbo FSI 7sp CVT transsssss....

I am also considering Audi Q5 or Merc E-class for a 2nd car. Go for Q5 because I already owned a sedan. But, I think Merc E-class may have better resale value.

 

Just to share my bad experience at the Audi (Premium Automobiles) showroom recently. I think Audi cars deserve better sales persons.

 

Arrived the showroom in cab with my family as I was going to collect my car which is at the workshop nearby for servicing. Met this guy with 'look you no up' attitude. I told him I am looking for a 2nd car and I am considering either a coupe or a SUV since we already owned a sedan. Told him what car we are currently driving and he started criticising. Never mind, we took it as fair comments.

 

He told us to look at the prices first before we proceed to look at the cars. Fair enough, we need to know the prices before we proceed. In fact, I knew the prices before I step into the showroom. But, me and my wife both felt that he gave us the impression that we cannot afford it.

 

Then, we proceeded to look at A5. This is when we confirmed that he is not interested to serve us. While we were looking at the car, he went to look outside the windows. This was the last straw, I decided to tell him off. After that, he tried to explain with loads of craps.

 

Audi has been doing a good job in promoting the brand globally in the last few years. It is not worth it to be spoilt by sales persons who feel that they are more important than their customers.

"Looking down at people" is a hobby that happen in every part of the world...don't let them spoil your mood in making a purchase..

 

I have my good and bad experience at Mercs as well... it's really that individual that serve you.. and when you employ sales person, it's hard to weed out people with such hobby, i.e. looking down on people even when they are short.

It's "normal" that the SE behaves that way especially in the early morning and late afternoon.

According to a friend who works as a SE along that stretch, people walks in the showrooms out of convenience because after they sent in their car for servicing at the same AD or another AD. When have some time to spare, so they will just walk into showrooms. These SE will then have to "entertain" these window shoppers.

 

You can see their bochap attitude especially in the morning and late afternoon.

Unless they see you driving in your car and parked at their foyer, then they will be super on the ball to serve you.

 

Try stepping into the showroom at noon time, you will be served differently. I hope...

surprisingly, thot i can upkeep my superpower when i visited BM recently. but they muz hv some superpower buster nuclear-reactor-thingy coz i was spotted and even given a brochure...SHOCKING! sales must be realli realli bad over there.....

Thank you for the advice and consolation. I shall not mention the name of the SE here as I do not wish to affect anyone's livelihood.

 

I mean I took a cab to the showroom and not just passing by. My AD is along the same stretch but still consider quite a long walk.
