have u checked out Pirelli P7 or Hankook S1evo2 ?

No, I didn't. I never use them before. I have used Michelin Primacy 3, Bridgestone GR80 and GR90. Current tyre is Bridgestone EP100A.

PS3 is in a different category. it is a performance tyre and looking at his short list, he is probably looking at quieter tyre and PS3 is noisy compared to the PP2 I have used before.

Yes, I am looking at comfort and quiet tyre. I have tried CPC2 before but no more selling and replaced by CPC5.

michelin is quite expensive. i dont think is worth that much extra but it has good thread wear rate that probably last till the end of your car life. take a look at yoko V551. I checked before going with the GR100, the price is quite cheap. check it out.

CPC2 is still available.

Mine was less than 2 yrs ago, shop has both but I still took the CPC2 as I had used it before. Good overall.

But looking at next change would return to PS3 for the assurance on the grip.

Neutral Newbie

All those good tyres are not suitable for stock rim.

I still unable to find good comfort/quite tyres for 185/60/R15.

Been on XM2 - noisy like hell

Bridgestone stone RE080 - also noisy and no grip

Ecopia EP200 - Better than the 2 but also have noise after 10k at 90++km/h speed.

try yokohama orange oil tyre claimed to be quiet tyre

frankly speaking do take note of your car may not have very good sound proofing

Maybe it's your car sound insulation no good then.

Anyway, if you really want quiet tyres, then have to be Yokohama Advan dB series.

How is the GR90 compared to CPC5? Which one quieter and more comfortable?

I am looking at changing tyres soon.

GR90 phasing out but may still have some in the market (not neccsary old stock tyre)

New GR100 is 100% better over the issue (quiet and comfort)

but beware of the wear life of GR100 on heavy car and aggressive driving habit

if you are low usage GR100 sure the better choice
