Forget about weight bro. There are too many factors that can influence your overall weight.

Go by measurements, pant tightness or take pictures of yourself every week.

I can put on 2kg within one meal.

Yup, my weight can fluctuate 1-2kgs per day as well...sigh

Anyway, I think I am naturally a very small eater...

Breakfast yesterday - two hardboiled eggs with butter

Lunch - 1 hardboiled egg (around 3pm) - not really hungry

Dinner - shared a roast duck with my wife (effectively 1/4) and some veggie...

Breakfast today - 1 can of coconut milk with walnuts...

You can only convince them when they see a drastic change in you. When I went from 40 inch waist to 29 inch waist, everyone was interested in knowing how I did it.

Without a testimony, there is no incentive for anyone to believe you and consider the alternate hypothesis.

I would say most of my friends were interested in listening to me tell my story despite it went against everything they knew. But the ones who actually made the effort to try had health problems to solve. I'm happy to say that it's a 100% success rate, whether in terms of losing weight, fixing their allergies, improving their HBA1c, blood glucose...etc. Everyone single one who can make it past the 1st two months realise how much better they feel by minimising carbs and upping fat.

I believe the evidence is mounting (has been for a long time) and although the mainstream is still extremely biased against the alternate hypothesis, it will reach a critical point where you just can't keep saying the earth is flat.

unfortunately i don't have a drastic change in me.. shape and weight wise.. not like losing over 10 kg or something

but my fitness level definitely improved, from a zero fighter to pulling 10 chinups in 1 mth tat's better than training excessively :)

sad to know how many people out there are carb-addicts :(

To lose weight, Energy In (EI) must be lesser than Energy Out (EO).

EI is our food intake. (food we eat)

EO is physical activity (exercise, walking, climbing stairs, etc)

As long as our EO is higher than our EI, we'll lose weight. A simple yet effective formula to follow.

For EI, our food intake has to be lower in calories. Junk/unhealthy food are high in calories but very low in nutrients. So we need to consume food that are high in nutrients but low in calories.

For EO, any physical activity is better than no physical activity. EG, take the stairs instead of the lift/escalator.

It is a matter of conditioning

If you gradually reduce your food intake, your stomach will shrink as well...

But the body will adapt and end up burning less calories I think [:(]

Dunno man, I tried to eat less, but I am just compelled to eat til I'm satiated. It's probably due to the exercise I do. My body knows it is getting beat up almost on a daily basis, so it dictates my appetite to supply enough nutrients for energy and repair. I should try experimenting with working out less and see how my appetite reacts.

Anyway, stomach capacity doesn't shrink. Only appetite does.

Hmm...I thought it does because I get full very easily...

[EDIT] Just read through your links and it appears that the first one supports that a reduced diet does reduce stomach capacity

And even if I force myself to eat more, it just won't go in...sigh

Of course, it may be also due to the fact that I drink a lot of water...my water content is 50% according to my OSIM scale

But in your case, it may be different as you exert so much more than the rest of us...so maybe it's best to listen to your body [:)]
