Skunk Clutched March 27, 2010 Share March 27, 2010 You can't win them all! At least you're seeing results despite the alcohol! As i mentioned earlier, this diet is doing wonderful things to me....it made me drink less, by making me tipsy after just 5 or 6 shots of booze....might sound like alot to teetotallers, but this is nothing compared to what i used to drink! Skunk Clutched March 27, 2010 Share March 27, 2010 Anyone have any recipe for sirloin steak? How to make it medium? I tried pan fried...lots of oil ooozes out and the whole is is cooked right through..hmm the moment a red liquid "meat juice" oozes out, straightaway remove from pan. It's medium rare at that point. Leave it slightly longer to be medium, and even more to be well-done. Of course dependant on how thick it is, but generally this way works. If it doesn't, eat it raw lor, more nutrients undestroyed by heat, even better. But must be fresh lah LOL

Chickenbackside 1st Gear March 27, 2010 Share March 27, 2010 If you're spending good money on grass fed beef, it'd be a waste to eat it anything more than medium rare. Just my personal opinion...

Piyopico Supercharged March 28, 2010 Share March 28, 2010 (edited) Well, yes, that's right. But as long as you don't eat enough of it to spike your insulin levels, that's fine. For me, I eat 12 blueberries a day together with Bulla pure cream or Ayam brand pure coconut cream (YUM!!). Yup, I count them. I count or measure foods that contains sugar or carbs. I would have no hesitation eating an apple or an orange. But I wouldn't eat 4 at a time. That's why cutting out processed foods is so important. You need to eat a big load of whole, natural foods to get the negatives. But no counting or even limiting when it comes to other macronutrients. I just eat til I'm full. Bro CBS, I saw there are about 4 types of coconut cream sold. I guess it is the same as coconut milk. The Ayam brand seems to be the less desirable of the lot cos it has permitted preservatives. In the end I chose NTUC in house brand(very tasty) and Kara(quite ok). Have not tried Ayam brand. Why do you not eat the other brands? Why do you not eat the other brands? Because the Ayam brand blue or green round cans (NOT square box) are the only ones I can find that is PURE 100% coconut milk/cream. All others contain guar gum or emulsifiers or is UHT or low fat. You cannot buy the Ayam brand round can ones at NTUC. They do not carry it. You can find them at Cold Storage or Sheng Shiong. Again, they should look like this: Edited March 29, 2010 by Chickenbackside

The one CBS eats is the one in a tin can. Thatz why I cannot find in NTUC. OK, now I know. Will look for that at Cold storage or Sheng Shiong to try. Piyopico Supercharged March 29, 2010 Share March 29, 2010 (edited) Hey guys, take a look at this. Dunnoe if can find over here. undefined Coconut Cream ConcentrateTM Buy 2 Get 2 FREE (32 oz.)! until Sunday March 28th only Ingredients: 100% Pure Organic Coconut! Nothing else! What is Coconut Cream ConcentrateTM? Coconut Cream Concentrate is certified organic whole coconut meat in concentrated form. It contains no additives* (not even water). The dried coconut meat is ground into a very fine powder, giving it a creamy consistency due to its high fat content. Since it is 70% fat, it is a rich source of pure coconut oil. Note: this is a food, not a cooking oil. How is Coconut Cream ConcentrateTM used? You can mix 1 or 2 teaspoons of Coconut Cream Concentrate with water or juice to make a creamy coconut milk drink. It is also an excellent ingredient for cooking and baking. Because of its low moisture content, it can be mixed right in the batter or dough of breads and pastries. It can also enhance soups, be blended with smoothies, or made into ice cream. Many people just eat it straight, or spread it on breads and crackers, because it is so delicious! For some great recipes, get the Virgin Coconut Oil book. See also recipes below. Note: in colder weather Coconut Cream Concentrate will become hard, due to the high amount of natural coconut oil and fiber. It needs to be warmed to liquefy. But this is a food, not a cooking oil. If you use high heat, it will burn. How is Coconut Cream ConcentrateTM different from canned coconut milks and creams? Commercial coconut milks and creams are generally sold in cans, or sometimes boxes and tetra packs. The main ingredient in these products is water. If the fat content is 17%, it is called "coconut milk." If the fat content is 24%, it is called "coconut cream." But most of what you are purchasing is water. Coconut Cream Concentrate, on the other hand, has NO water, and is pure coconut. Unlike the commercial varieties, it also contains ALL the fiber of the coconut. Pure, dried coconut contains more fiber per gram than even oat bran! This fiber has been stripped out of commercial coconut milks and coconut creams. Also, almost all commercial coconut milks and creams have additives to prevent the water from separating from the coconut oil, and also have sulfites added to keep it white longer. Sometimes these additives are so small, that the FDA does not require them to list them on their labels as ingredients. Coconut Cream Concentrate, however, contains NO additives and NO preservatives at all: it is 100% natural coconut made from certified organic Philippine coconuts grown without pesticides or fertilizers. Coconut Cream Concentrate comes packaged in 1 pint or 1 quart glass jars. Coconut Cream ConcentrateTM Ingredients: 100% Pure Coconut! Nothing else!
