Dont buy OPC car and then want 5 or 10 mins. grace. Wake up early or buy the e-license, if not take BMW.

its not about grace period. people have watches some 1-2 min faster some 1-2 min slower. i am sure there has to be some grace period. unless they use a device to track the car 24/7 using a satellite

No grace period what so ever...very easy to get caught up doing things and forget to buy the e-day liscence ... already appealed twice...haiz..

what if u drive to change ur car park in the same place, so u can wash your car during normal day time?

what if you wish to do basic vehicle maintenance and check the oil, etc surely u need to start engine?

Please refer to my feedback dated 30 March 2010 by Warnerbros. Since I have gone down to appeal ( which I was told to go home) in mid March 2010 and having received a phone call from the officer on end March 2010 nothing have happened since. It is now 16 April 2010. ????? Just wondring whats happening. Those who have gone down to appeal from March 2010 and filled up the form and than asked to go home to wait, I like to hear what is the outcome of your cases ?

i report on 3rd apr till now still nothing heard...

Everyone claims it's their first time when they are caught....

Animals make mistakes in the wild and they die for it. $500 is a small price to pay.

I agree. Let us know when you make your "first" mistake too and we can gloat over it yea? [cool]

I suggest all OPC users to paste a big note on their steering wheel with "BUY YOUR E-DAY LICENCE NOW, IMMEDIATELY, DONT WAIT" [laugh]

go down surrender is still cheaper then u receive the letter...

lta have build (and keep on putting & building) a lot of way to get opc... luck sure one day will be gone... by then u will feel the pain...

and for your info this is not 5050... is opc 0 : lta 100...

the problem is LTA dun even entertain ppl who go down to surrender the next day anymore....was told by CSO to wait for interview letter...

HI RedPlanet,

A newbie here. Also forgot to buy e-day license.

so you are suggesting there is no need to go down to LTA?

All we have to do is wait for the letter?

Any other suggestion?

Yes just wait for the letter to see if u r been spotted. No point going down now, you will still be fined.

Sorry, couldn't start new topic as i'm new here. Got to choose this thread as it is most related to OPC.

It is regarding the new scheme of OPC having rebate of $1100 every 6 mth. I'm planning to convert my normal car to OPC but what happen here is if i were to sell my car away in a year time, will the rebate goes to the new owner or LTA would be able to pay me in lump sum?

I've called LTA and they told me i will be getting the full rebate but when i question them on this, they couldn't provide me with a concrete answer.

Any advice out there?

every 6 month, LTA will rebate $1100 to your bank account. So depend when you sell it lor. If you sell at the 5th month, the rebate will go to the owner at the 6th month.

if you worry so much then in the first place why OPC ?
