Ah_tee 2nd Gear February 27, 2010 Share February 27, 2010 saw on a show on discovery turbo... to buy a ferrari..u need to be invited by ferrari ... anyone can verify this.. though i know i most prob wont be able to afford one this lifetime used to have a friend whose family owns one he told me, even if you have the cash they might not sell you the car. its either you have some social status standing or you own a ferrari before. so those that fail the first factor usually buys a pre-own ferrari and hes sorta being admitted into the club. the next model comes along and you be invited. ↡ Advertisement

Turbonetics 2nd Gear February 28, 2010 Share February 28, 2010 please don't anyhow go for a test drive if you don't have intention to buy. because you might kill another innocent sales executive.
Turbonetics 2nd Gear February 28, 2010 Share February 28, 2010 Probably for models like Enzo and F50.... need invitation and need to own all previous models before etc... Not for 360, 430 etc... Enzo and F50 are not even allowed to be driven on our roads.
1fast1 Supersonic February 28, 2010 Share February 28, 2010 (edited) ok..thnks for clarifying seems like a pretty tedious process to own one.... is this the reason pple buy lambo instead ? the process for getting a lambo is it easier? would u by any chance happen to know bro In the US, at least, Lambo is known to have a far shorter and softer stick up its rectum than Ferrari. Which is why people who have money but don't like BS buy the raging bull not the limpid horse. Don't know the situation in Singapore, to be honest. It's all about EuroSports vs Hong Seh. Only experience with the former is when my dad brought his Lotus in for servicing, and I was looking to buy one myself (couldn't fit my fat ass in, so didn't buy, heh. ). But it was a good experience, they do treat their propspective customers quite well. Never tried to buy a Lambo, don't have the moolah for that, and the salesman knew it, but still entertained my queries (I wasn't so thick-skinned as to ask for a test drive, of course). And I don't have any experience with the latter company (HS). Edited February 28, 2010 by Turboflat4

I only went to EuroSports to check out the Lotuses, those are the max I can seriously afford from that company. But my lard ass prevented me from being able to fit into an Elise. No joke - I later tried squeezing into an Esprit turbo at AutoBahn, and still cannot. I'm about 190cm and weight...er... let's just leave it at "heavy". Got to drive cars catering for the very large. But if by some miracle, I were to be able to afford an exotic, I think I would go with Lambo over Ferrari. I always disliked the BS Ferrari makes its fans put up with. That is the trait of the last agent.... which is one of the speculated reasons why ferrari is changing agents. Ferraris need to sell as much of the base models as possible but last agent is not willing to invest. if it need recommendation or referrals, USA will not have so many of them and half the time by young chaps from the wall street who made TONS of $$ during pre 08 crisis... those for invitation are the rare ones like enzo which is rare as Lexus LFA or reventon. you will need to meet certain criteria thats for sure. if you are willing to put down half a million bucks for depsosit for a 430, i believe no one will turn you down even your background is dubious. at the end of the day, it is just another car... ↡ Advertisement
