Eh... how does one go about test driving a Ferrari in Singapore? Can anyone with driver's license just approach the SE and ask for a test drive?

if im not wrong, inorder for someone to buy a ferrari, he will need to have a current ferrari owner to recommend him...and i dont think any test drives are allowed.

Nope. Just wondering.

What about Porsche and Lambo? Need owner recommendation too?

no need, if u drive your ferrari or bentley to the showroom, they probably have no problems letting u test drive. [flowerface]

So are these regulations really in existence or is it some urban legend that sprung out because nobody dare to ask? I already feel inadequate just standing outside the showroom. [sweatdrop]

Actually the purpose of test-drive is to make sure the car is up to standard..

for super cars like Lambos, bentley, aston, ferraris I believe no need test drive coz sure surpass the expectations ! LOL

Normally is you would test drive your friend's car... Then he recommends you.. And he would get some perks. Is something like MLM....

Not sure about NOW.....

Last time if you wanna buy top of the line ferrari... you have to go to italy to take some test.... they'll check out your driving skills before they wanna sell the car to you. If you're good enough... They will give you free lessons and if you're too good... you can join their family :)

Evo and STI they don't let you test-drive already...

I believe for the supercars, it is the same case. Although I've seen Maseratis on test.

I would ask for you, but unfortunately, all those people driving Lambos and Ferraris around me (nb, where the F they get this kind of money?) are just acquaintances and not those type of friends I can call up to ask such "trivial" questions.

The SE asked my friend if he is interested to test drive the porsche. I don't remember which model though... is some 911.

Yup. agreed. EVO and STI, i went and asked the SE at C&C and Motor Image, they said its insurance issues and not doubting my driving capabilities. The SE at C&C gave me an EX GT to test instead.

Maybe 09-10 they start letting people test ... poor sales perhaps? [:p]

But 2yrs back even when I confirmed buying, also didn't get to test-drive.

I don't usually see test-drive units for performance marques. Showroom unit, yes.
