There lower arm bush can easily last 10 years, if you drive over humps with caution, at close to a complete stop. 5km/h.

I was recently "analyzing" groaking sound n steering swivel slight left despite left cv joint replacement n possibly might point to a new culprit called lower ball joint. Anyone w similar experience?

I recalled a fren recently scrapped his ride wc same as mine tt replaced lower arms 2-3yrs back but claimed chassis full of loose noise. So was suspecting lower arm replacement was ineffective solution but no chance to experience it.

those sound commonly came from drive shaft aka CV or lower arms.

if you using your ride for a long time, its good to change.

there's many type of material to go for, currently I'm in the midst of changing the lower arm bush to nylon type.

the critical component seems to be the ball joint, don't see many people replacing in Malaysia although I know it can  be done..

just those bugger want an easier way out..

Lower arm bushing are being destroyed due to the thousands of humps LTA put all over the roads, in particular, when you don't slow down.

i realise the bush is a modular unit which is separate from the lower arm. has anyone replaced the cracked bush instead of the entire lower arm before? it's a real waste to replace the entire lower arm just because of the damaged bush.

Dismantling the bush and labour cost maybe higher than cost of arm that's why some mech suggest change arm.

Might be different with different car model

Different make different model different alternatives.

There are bushes that can be pressed out while some are sold as a whole unit.

i'd think the strips hurt more than the humps, no?

I got quote $240 for front stabilizer bush and linkage. Jap MPV... Reasonable?

since your ride is japan MPV, u can go to spare parts shop and tell them your ride model and year and the item you want and bring to your regular workshop to replace, and ask the workshop to send your ride for alignment too, just pay labour and the alignment cost
