I also feel that nowadays a lot of young people are dummies for wasting money on trends, gadgets, fads, etc.

But without these gullible dummies, there'd be less market for a lot of products.

There are plenty of opportunities to make money, simply because there are a lot of irrational people out there!

If people are all rational, thinking, analytical, and not dummies, then probably the 2 casinos will go out of business very fast, no?

I think he is just encouraging us to take advantage of this fact: that there are a lot of people out there who will spend money on impractical but entertaining things. You can make money just by designing such an app - and it doesn't have to be anything of value (!), just needs to be entertaining. Writing apps is the easy part. The difficult part is figuring out what exactly is going to attract people to buy, i.e. what's cool, and what's the current trend.

Do you agree with him?

"those who buy 'useless applications' for Apple's products as 'gullible customers'."

http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/S...ory_525994.html

Does he mean we should just "ahem" them? :D

Umm...I don't have a iphone and never had the intention to buy one.

Even if I did, I would probably just make use of those apps that comes with the phone. I have never understand what is the attractiveness of Apple apps.

Perhaps I should join Stats board. They will think I am an elite and give me a fat pay [rolleyes]

If there is an App that predicts the 4-D Number accurately, I will pay U$1.99 for it..

Pardon me for being a dummy, but how much is U$1.99 huh?

( I use Apple iPhone, you know, hahaha )

Yeah. I agree.

Of course he's talking from his perspective. He's just a person. Obviously the definition of 'useless' is from his POV.

Don't know what the big hoohaa is about.

From his perspective, he can just say those Apple application are useless.. No need to call all those who bought it gullible..
