When one slows down, it is not appropriate to press the brake without releasing it. Constantly-lit brake lights are not obvious during day time, especially for cars of dark colors (for example, dark magenta and dark red). I always press and release the brake several times, in order to alert any driver behind. This might not work well with ABS, but it can probably save one's own life. When stopping in front of a traffic light with no car behind, this is even more critical.

 

That is true. But based on our BOLA.

It is our advantage to stop our car in time not to hit the front car.

I personally believe that don't follow closely if you are not up to stopping quickly.

2. camry driver CMI. he should go back to learn how to drive. His style is clearly create road hazard instead of safe driving.

Definitely that joker who ram people's back. The camry is already braking for the red light. And the kimchi still ram into him. I ll beat up that guy if he does that to me.

both is at wrong .....

 

1st ) camry should not e brake on amber,as he is approching stop line so he should follow through and not jam brake.

2nd ) kimchi expect camry to follow through so never tot he will jam brake on amber so reaction slowed down to determine camry reaction.

3rd ) 3 sec to determine camry reaction have ultimately contributed to kimchi braking late.

4th ) Take note of other car beside both cars,tat blue car beside kimchi still drove pass the junction on amber light.

5th ) camry rear wheel already touch the stop line while still in amber.

 

from TP point of view, camry have contributed 95% fault, so claim own insurances....

probably, it's the 'camera' syndrome which causes camry driver to jam brake.

The camry driver may have been caught beating the lights before, so he dun want to risk a second offence.

 

But then, wouldn't case tilt more towards camry's favour as musso hits camry's rear?

Isn't this the typical sg law?

Camry driver can turn around & say,"Who ask you to never anticipate & keep safe distance?"

The Camry stopped without entering the intersetection, even though he braked harder than he "should" have.

 

What is interesting to note though, is that even after e-braking and hitting the Camry the Musso STILL entered the intersection, an intersection that the car in front stopped short of.

 

What does this tell me?

1. He was day dreaming, and is 100% at fault

or

2. He saw the orange light, and hit the accelerator, planning on "chionging" a red light, then Camry brake - PANIC, jialiat, hit the Camry. Even more at fault.

 

If the Musso was driving responsibly this would never have happened.

 

The Camry driver's actions are argueable, the Musso has no leg at all to stand on.

Yep...but barely, that's why I say his case argueable. But the Musso has NO argument, whether the Camry stop not, he should have been stopping. If he just kiss the backside, would be more inclined to give him a pass. Thing is, that even though the car in front could (basically) stop, he couldn't - so he must have been doing something terribly wrong. Imagine that the Camry not there - he would have run the red light correct? So he was deliberatly driving agressively and made a calculated effort to break the law. So even if not for the Camry, he would still have been wrong.

 

For the Camry, what he did required a SECOND factor to cause an accident - the Musso didn't require a second factor, what he did was wrong all by itself.

Perhaps the nearest analogy I can draw is speeding, and going too fast to take the corner and crashing - both are speeding, but if crash you are in the wrong unqeuivocably, if "only" speeding, the "only" thing do wrong is break an arbitrary rule. (not that I am saying the Camry wrong, but that an argument can be made either way, for the Musso, there can be no arguement, as even if the Camry not there, he should have been stopping - something he wasn't doing)

I already give sec by sec video evidence of why the Musso driver is in the wrong. The Musso failed to anticipate yellow light and failed to slow down when lights turn yellow. Only see the camry ebrake and brake as well. Then too late and buang. If the Musso had seen the yellow light and slow down, he/she would not have kiss the Camry's backside.

Amber must slow down right? Then see the video (its in my video review post as well) why the Musso never slow down when lights turn yellow. He only ebrake when the Camry eBrake. If the Musso had brake when lights turned yellow, he won't even kiss the Camry. Even if kiss, damage will be very little. Then at that time can argue.

 

Now, Musso driver didn't even see the lights turn yellow how to argue?
