i am so afraid of being fined now that last night, i entered a public carpark with those ERP-charge-type of entry/exit. I found meself a lot and guess what, i tore 1 S$1.00 and 1 S$0.50 coupon and displayed it!! I only realized it when I was exiting the carpark.. sigh.. paranoia man.. haha!

Let me propose a simplistic alogrithm for such a detector. [Okay, it is more for your entertainment, rather than for actual implementation].

 

The car park attendant usually carries a gadget around to key in the time of offence and print out a summon. When they are at work and start to issue summon to the other car in the neighborhood, the gadget would give out some sounds during summon printing. As this sound is quite loud, follows some patterns and is quite obvious, our detector should be able to pick up such sound and read the time of detection. It would then activate an automated arm to punch the respective holes on the coupon. This automated arm will then dish out the coupon and then display it on the dashboard.

 

PS: There is a catch to the algorithm, we need a sacrificial car in the neighborhood to get the first summon before the detector could be activated. As long as yours is not the first car, it should be alright.

better take note.. sometimes, they stand quite a distance away and key in half way, then approach to check for coupon or if double yellow line, they finish keying in already, then walk close to place the summon..

 

so no chance of u stopping them.

Please dont be so naive, is not we cannot afford pay the fine or buy coupon, just buay song when we get summon becos of expired time , or just leave a short while. Have you ever wonder why Singapore's fine court is always crowded. Have you ever wonder what is the purpose of issuing so many summons, thought summons should be meant to deter and warn but in this case, nah... The relevant authority shd think of ways to make citizen commit less parking offence rather then setting up more private agency to issue summon.

Did anyone watch discovery science?? Recently on one of the show, I think its call Men In White, they actually come up with a car that is a so call Fatimah avoider. Darn funny thought, but I think it will not work in Sg for Fatimah but can avoid wheel clamps.

A hologram....design to project parking coupons !! A keyboard will allow you to alter the date and time....Wahahahaha....one shot project 8 $1 coupon on the dash....fatimah see liao walk away....

Why don't design a gps system where you can activate thru phone from a distance. Once activated with date, time entered than the gps can project an image of coupon on the dash board. Of course with Auto changes to the time as well.

Can some techno invent one that can detech m/s fatimah at range of at least 100m so that we can have ample time to run ! Upon detection of m/s fatimah , system will call / sms your HP ....

I will be first to buy , will you buy ?

 

There are some free detector in use! No need to buy. Just contribute your effort...

anyone knows how to make iphone apps?

 

I am thinking of an apps that can help to alert other drivers when fatimah or TP are in the vicinity.

 

When anyone spotted any fatimah or TP, he just need to press a button in the app and the GPS location will be transmitted to the server. Then the server will broadcast an alert message to others who are driving or parking nearby
