Hi all,

With trend of coe up and down, thus make the sell price of any car increase, which mpv car (off peak) in your opinion is good value for long term.

some of the candidate:

-honda odyssey

-nissan elgrand (or presage)

-toyota alphard (or previa)

-ford galaxy

-chrysler grand voyager

-mazda 8

thanks for any relpy/ opinion :)

personally sat in alphard, wish, ody, estima in my business trips...frankly speaking, toyota makes good MPV...spacious and tall...dislike ody the most, seems trying too hard to make an MPV like a sedan car and that kind of defeats the MPV purpose for me..

Regards,

good value mean:

the car is worth to buy even the price is higher compare 6-8 months ago.

previously i consider proton exora, because it offer manual.

but now, i believe it is not worth to buy proton with COE 29 or 30k over.

as for MPV, actually i really not see "good value".

one car i can think of is: if previa have same 7 speed like estima, then it is good value.

my opinion, car with 4 speed like always run 1st and 2nd gear in average.(especially in s'pore road)

no offence, but i really not interested to buy car from PI.

Ford Galaxy .. Euro is low and price is still decent.

just my feeling:

I really not see any advertise for ford galaxy in any media. not even once (as i remember).

It is should be on media when it is launch right?

just like mazda 8, it appear about 2-3 times in saturday newspaper.

i know, buy continental car is worth.

will go to the showroom to look at it.

base what i read, it has same wheel base with s-max.

and i tried sit in s-max. it is not MPV, it is mini MPV, just same class as stream or wish.

I'm thinking that too.

i have question for odyssey owner.

on last seat that have electric up and down, do you ever put heavy item on it? say 2 big luggage each 25 kg.

i asked this question to kah salesman, ofcourse they said no problem :)

I just affraid, if the electricity part can not hold if been press with heavy weight.

for seat capacity, i think max odyssey can carry is 8 adult 170cm above (2 front, 4 middle and 2 behind).

me myself experience in previa (8 seat) and elgrand, carry full 9 adult (2 front, 4 middle and 3 behind).

ha.ha.ha., that's MPV for right ?

I am all for odyssey! [thumbsup] Estima's CG is too high for my liking - albeit better resale value though. Is it becos Estima cost more when new?

The saleman is right [nod] as the back seat folds down completely into the recess area and is at rest. Should be able to take heavy load without any problem. [:)]
