there are nice ones and not so nice ones.

But I think Koreans got good designs.

They should just not copy the Europeans so much.

I find the i45 great looking and even the new elantra.

Also the Tucson

and Kia's got the Soul and others.

all very nice.

The K5 in the picture doesnt looks the same as the private car K5?! So the K5 they are using as taxi runs on 1.7L diesel.

The Taxi's K5 are base model, alot of equipment is not there, same as M.B. W-212 Taxi, using lowest end model, even the brakes are not the same as pax car.

Wow, they got rid of the shiny spoky rimes, which is the only lousy part in the whole car!

So K5 vs 5series and K7 vs 7series.

even the model name also want to copy.

I think the Koreans really got to shed the copycat stance.

They are good enough to stand on their own feet.

They need to break out of this follow the leader mould.

I think thats where the Japanese differentiated themselves.

But now the Japanese really need a better designer.

Not only JPop lose to Kpop , even J cars are losing to K cars ....

Actually the rims are okay,18 inch rim for this price, you buy Toyota 2L Camry, they give you only 16 inch rims.

My comment was on the design of the rims (and not the size). Do you like the shiny ones?

Kia/Hyundai both hired Europeans for their few models. So, European design is unavoidable. WHile I like Kia's recent models, Hyundai is overdoing their design. Veloster is an exception. You see I45, so many lines and grill design is simply overdone. I do not like Tucson's front - side and back is okay. I will take Sportage over Tucson or K5 over I45 anytime (I know you like both I45 and Tucson)

What I meant to say is anything overdone is not good and this is where Europeans are doing a great job.

Yes , a good point on the overdone part.

But Korea designs are well known in recent years for overdoing.

However, i find that it goes well with all the Korean / Japanese obsession with manga and anime and a very futuristic new world....

So I can accept the i45 and the elantra and the tucson.

in fact i find them refreshingly nice.

what i wont be able to accept is the plasticky low quality interiors which fortunatley have also improved over the years.
