Quite surprise the basic model don't even comes with SMART Key Entry System, SMART Start Ignition, Cruise Control, Auto Rain Sensor wipers, Bluetooth Telephone Connectivity..............so basically just pay for the brand :o

Was told that basic model now comes with keyless (SMART) start but still no SMART entry. Anyone went to view the CT200h and could share the experience? What is the selling price for the basic model (1.8l hence using cat B COE)?

Tat mouse thingy controller in the middle works well for LHD but may need some getting use to for non lefty in RHD world. Heard engine from a Toyota prius but dunno if Lexus tweak it or not. Seen a prius "float" by in a mscp soundless while low speed. Really weird. But I like the exterior of this ct200.

I believe they will customize this important "mouse" component for RHD, similarly for the drive-by-wire gear shift. 2010 Prius engine is exactly the same for CT200h, just compare the specs. I don't think the base model CT200h is worth getting as it comes with almost similar equipment to the standard Prius you can get from BM. PI ones are bare.

 

As to the soundless phenomenon, there is actually still sound somehow. Just a matter whether you can catch the frequency or not, coz it is some sort like a very soft high-pitched continuous ringing sound.

Saw one this afternoon on a normal plate. Looks is not outstanding.

So fast this car on the rd? Though this car just launched? [:/] But the other day when i was on the rd, saw a trailer with a few hatchback cars, and i thought what make/model was tht, cause never see the design before. But i saw Lexus badge on the car, so the hatch Lexus that i saw is CT200h. [:)]

yes, went to the showroom today, SE told me some cars already delivered. The sales is not bad - 70 bookings.

Given a choice, I would rather go for the 1.4 Golf, 1.4 Giulietta or the 1.6 countryman. Lexus tried hard to package and market the ct200h as a sporty hatch but reviews shows that the car is sluggish even in the "sport" mode (a recent edition of the Top Gear magazine even sarcastically give it a 8 or 9/20 rating due to this). It's a great family car but shouldn't be associated with the word "sporty". Most importantly, the $$ you save on petrol will end up being paid for the additional taxes on the electric motor. Unless it's specs and performance can beat the little turbocharged engines from Volkswagen, mini, etc, i personally don't think that it's worth buying.

Lexus first hatchback car ma, esp those pple who like hatchback car and also like Lexus, confirm they will buy. [:)]
