i always go to this ws at upper thomson road, in Caltex station. it along with shell station, side by side.

 

this ws is one of the recommended in this forum

 

my ride uses CVT oil, i buy my own oil and this ws charge me $10 for changing....... so far so good with this ws... no bullsh$t from them.....

 

its only like a 15 mins job.

 

i suggest u talk to fellow colt drivers, esp driving the same model was yours, and they can give alot of info. hang around in the colt forums

see map for some direction. look out for 2 or 3 petrol stations side by side.... Caltex, Shell and maybe Esso....

hi bro & sis, i just take over a colt version r thinking which workshop to change engine oil, transmission fluid & etc

 

Any workshop can do it so depending on your choice of area, engine oil...etc... Maybe you can post it at the Colt Forum and them fellow Colt Turbo drivers can recommend a thing or two?

Very important is e type of atf ty give u. Make sure its suitable fr yr car.

 

Most places buy in bulk some cheepo atf n say can lah, can use fr yr car but later yr autobox give problems, wil cost u a small fortune to put right.

 

If u drive toyota, can try toyota type iv atf. Most toyota use aisin autobox n it loves this type iv atf.

 

A very good Dexron IIe fully synthetic atf is Royal Purple. i used b4 n its good n smooth but now price is abt $13/qt so cos of high cost, i switch to toyota type iv mineral atf which is suitable fr my Optra as it uses e Aisin autobox also.

 

Btw i dont do e flush anymore. I just do a drain n fill every 20k km or so. I usually can change abt 3-4 lit at 1 go which is more than enough.

 

My mech charge abt $10 labour n e atf only costs abt $8/lit.

bro, u mind share the WS and the charges you used to do ur servicing with your own supplies?

 

 

 

 

why dont u buy your own ATF and Engine oil?

there should be quite a lot of saving.

just pay for labour.

 

im using Toyota Type IV ATF. Per tin cost around S$32.

required 2 tin. bought from stockist.

I changed ATF every 30-35K

labour cost less than S$40. Just drain and refill.
