Turbocharge your engine

However, you won't feel much of a difference if you install a tiny turbo running at very low boost. Can feel some but after a short time, you will crave for more power again. IT never ends.

Just like myself, I feel stock turbo at just 0.7 bars its enough, then 0.8 and now 1.1 bar.... Of course the engine has no problems handling the boost but the addiction for power is always there. Now I can getting another turbo so I can go a little higher ~1.3 bar w/o getting too ineffiicent.

After adding on TC assuming it is possible (not cheap to start with), you will have to consider the costs of other mods such as brakes, suspension, reinforcement bars/struts etc. The added up cost together with the ever present risk of getting caught seems to me a losing venture.

Like some had said, you will be better off getting a stock TC car right from the start.

The amount of boost ur car will be capable of is limited if you do not reinforce other engine parts.

When you get into a serious accident, pray hard no one is injured, else you cannot move the car.

Else pray tow truck faster then TP.

TP will impound your car whether or not your car is modified.

They will then inspect ur car. Modified then insurance no cover. Prepare to get fined by TP and sued by the other pple involved in the accident.

Neutral Newbie

lancer? 1.5 or 1.8L NA?

10.5 compression ratio, the most boost you can run is 7 to 10psi, which is about 0.5 to 0.7bar, which you'll feel, if you can get it to spool up at around 1200rpm, but usually that's not the case, because if you have to ask here, what you'll do is slap on a big turbo and lag like hell.

Then for a bigger turbo, assuming your internals don't die, you either, use a thicker head gasket, or shave down the pistons to get your CR lower. That involves engine out, so prepare for big money.

If i were you, i would sell your car, and get that 1.8T lancer i see sometimes, dont know much about mitsubishis.

Don't worry about mata catch, they no time for u this type of small fly. Just lap a huge turbo, lower the car abit by cutting the spring abit which is almost free, your car can be half EVO liao... last time those 1.8l turbo lancer also like tat. Also no need to think of wat bembo brake, just step abit harder can liao. Everyone is doing tat everywhere except people here is singapore kia si mah. [:p]

Is it possible to add Turbo to your engine? isit Legal?? i recently saw a video a USA man added Turbo to a Lancer EX GT

I believe you mean to install a turbo-charger to your car engine. Technically you can. Legally, the others already enlightened you adequately about it. I would suggest you consider to trade-in for a continental car instead of spending your time and money on this one (I hope this can help avoid anyone getting hurt by accident later). Play video-games with this one if you really like it.
