hi bro,

i bought OPC kia rio for my parents.

whenever they ask me such question, i'll tell them... "i'll pay for your S$20.... alleviate your worries"

S$20 to make u stop worrying --> darn good deal

+ bonus: can drive whole day, go for lunch, pick up grandchildren etc.

singapore is really really stressful enough... just be fair to your brain =)

Gents, I have a question. I drive an OPC car. Was stuck in a jam this morning and I reached my office in Tuas at ard 7.07am. So i exceeded the time by 7 mins or so.

My question is will i get fined for being over the time limit of 7am? Cos I'm thinking of just paying the $20 as it is not worth the risk to not pay the $20 and risk thousands of dollars of fine. Please advise. Thanks.

JUST PAY $20 LA... then drive around whole day for the rest of your lives not worrying...!!!!

OR YOU WANT TO WAIT FOR LETTER TO SUMMON YOU ...WHICH IS ATLEAST $500 AND MONTHS OF WORRY ON ENDS...???

This, you will never feel it until it hits you smack on the face... [whip]

with the new e-license, i doubt TP will stop u. they just check their systems. if u never pay, that's it. wait for the letter.

If i were you i will buy...

i once reach my client office vincinity at 6.59am and i was stuck in a slow moving situation tho road was quite empty but cos i was boxed up by road hoggers driving at 40-50km/h on the extreme right and centre lane... sigh... when i reach my client place at Arab street its was 7.01am so I parrellel park and all that it was 7.02am... i bought the eday licence anyway though i check there was no street cameras and i didnt by pass ERP... I didnt use the car for the rest of the day too cos I went there to eat breakfast and had meeting all the way past lunch then since i was in town i did park and ride to orchard to do some stuff, and since i bought the eday for exceeding the time of 2 minutes, i managed to finish early and drove my car off at 6.48pm :) and cos of that i i reached home at 7pm, instead of 7.15pm (cos it starts to jam after 7 :))

wanna know..

now the opc allows u to drive first then pay later. So say today i drive... whole day.. what is the deadline for me to pay?

And since many may not have bought the tic yet.. road enforcers cant stop and check. So means, some ppl may just push their luck, and drive their cars around and never bought the tic before? so how does the authorities enforce this?

This has been mentioned umpteen times but I will explain again.

So you drive today, dateline is by tomorrow midnight 11:59pm + 1 minute (I want to say 12:00 am but to avoid confusion, I say 11:59 pm + 1 minute).

Enforcer saw you driving, he won't stop you but will take note when he saw you driving and what time. After the dateline has passed, he will check whether you bought it. If you didn't buy, then you get it....

It seems like quite a no. of OPC owners are not aware the revised rule fully despite having rolled out for nearly a yr... suggest appraise them before using to save all headache... and dun take chance...

I guess everyone only remember the most beneficial part where there's no restriction (whole day can drive) on Sat and the eve of 5 major holidays i.e. NY, CNY, Xmas, Hari raya puasa & deepavali... since we jz enjoy the eve of 2 holidays i.e. Xmas & NY... Next up is CNY!!
