Hey Bro,

Just read your review of the M6. I am impressed that you are able to achieve consumption figures of 6.9L/100Kms. The best i get is ard 8.2L/100kms (60% Expressway and 40% city).. Guess driving technique also plays an important role in fuel consumption (excessive braking and such)..

Wonder if others are able to achieve such good consumption numbers on their 2.0Execs..

Mine best was 7.5L/100 (50/50)

I think 6.9 is achievable. Need to be super light foot..

7.5L/100 is also pretty impressive! [thumbsup]

The M6 is slow to accelerate, so I tend to depress the accelerator excessively when moving off. Guess the sport mode would solve the acceleration lag, but it also comes at the expense of fuel economy! Lol

Need to get used to the car..

Mine is 7.0 to 7.5L/100 average. 2.0L exec

Just did 10k servicing last week.

This week realize something different.

Normal idle rpm is about 750rpm.

This week many instance idle rpm drop below 750rpm, close to 500rpm for few seconds before coming up back to 750rpm.

When rpm drops, can feel the engine vibrations.

Usually idling at 750rpm can't really feel any vibration.

Anybody encounter this?

Hi, does TEK perform tyre rotation as part of their 10K service?

Yes, got tyre rotation.

Agent, just add Weighs to balance the Wheel, not like outside Tyre shop, remove all Weights, then put new ones..

Hi,

I am the opposite of yours, when RPM goes higher the idling becomes rougher and when RPM drops it becomes normal, my mileage is only 1K+.....

Please share what did TE did to rectify your issue? Thanks.

It helps that my wife and I are both light on the accelerator pedal; we do not have the urge to be start off the line.

I've been monitoring the FC since my first refill; as follows is my record based on 50/50 between highway and city driving, with the latest refill today:

Calculated FC from actual mileage and petrol consumption between refills is consistently worse than average meter FC reading over the same period.

Although I do not believe that any improvement in FC will be able to justify the incremental cost of higher petrol grade, I'm staying with V-Power Nitro+ for its additives to defend against engine deposit build-up and corrosion, as long as I've the use of corporate fuel card though my job does not require me to drive :)

During engine start? Cold engine? It's normal.

No not during cold start, after driving for some time or idling at the lights.

Ive been only been using SPC Levo 95. Let me try the 98 to see the difference.

Between Shell V-Power Nitro & FuelSaver 98,can feel the power difference.?

I could not feel any noticeable power difference between V-Power and grade 98, though having said that I'm light-footed and seldom step on the gas too hard. I fill up with V-Power more for its engine protection properties and since I've a corporate fuel card. However, I think I feel a little engine knocking with grade 95, perhaps due to the high compression ratio of the engine.

Please do not take the seemingly worse FC with grade 95 in my record too seriously. The number of data points is too few to draw a conclusion and my initial pumps might be during the engine's run-in period. Nevertheless, I look forward to read your observation :)

Just a check on current owner - what can the SE give additional based on current price ?

Is there a new face-lift coming up.

I find 98 smoother than V-Power....

I received two trunk foam compartments upon collecting my Mazda 6 (2017 model) from TEK: one meant for higher boot floor to accommodate spare tyre, and another designed to go along with tyre repair kit for lower boot floor to offer more boot space. While I opted for the spare tyre, I also requested for the air compressor out of the tyre repair kit as I find the compressor useful, though I did not expect to receive the second compartment as well. As I've the first type of trunk compartment installed in order to hold a spare tyre in the boot, I would like to give away the other trunk compartment (photos below) for self-collection along Meyer Road. Please pm me if you are interested. Otherwise, I plan to return it to TEK when I send my car for 10K servicing early next month, rather than for it to collect dust in the store room.
