Just pump 80% of the max rated pressure on the spare tire sidewall.

If regular sized spare tyre, inflate as for the other tire.

If compact spare tyre, inflate as indicated on tyre wall

However if your spare tyre is more than 4years old, avoid going above 80km/hr.

Tyre have shelf life of 4years, after it's expiry they are likely to burst (especially when running in hot weather) because the rubber component may have hardened and cracked.

I believe sometimes there is/are lump(s) mosquito bite on the tyre, signalling a forthcoming tyre burst soon. It is good idea to examine the tire regularly for such defects/symptoms. Had 4 of 5 stock tire burst at age above 6 years.

6 years old tyres? Still can use meh?

I change my tyres every 2 years (will do cross-rotation once, at 12th month mark), and my mileage is about 16,500km/yr.

I did tire rotation regularly and the five tire travelled at least 120,000kmober 6 years plus, before they burst one after another (while driving/parked)
