Lol, very true. All the so called brand new cars, all are driven by many people before it is handed over to you. :D Even before the car is being delivered, your SE will be the last person driving your car, as in from the workshop to the deliver point. [:p]

Yeap. So there's really nothing special about 1st hand, brand new cars =)

Anyways, back to my point. Let those who can afford to get the Avante at current prices have their car first. Let them be the guinea pig for the DVVT 130bhp 1.6L engine.

Those who're not in a rush, can consider getting 2nd hand buys once their owners decide to sell the car off [probably in 1-2yrs time, you'll be able to see a few units on sale].

Largi better, should COE prices fall by then. And by then, there'll probably be ver2, with most problems, should they surface, be rectified.

Well, by the looks of it, it seems that KMC is now speccing the Avante 1.6L a bit better than the 2.0L i45. Probably KMC is trying to sell of the i45 with $8k discounts, so that they can bring in a premium-spec 2.0L version.

Like i always said, would not rush into buying a brand new car model in the market. Will wait for the model to "settle" in the market at least 1-2 yrs. [:)]

If the Avante ain't really selling well, one reason could be people are waiting for the Veloster Coupe to make it here.

I bet that will be a huge seller, considering it's actually rivalling the VW Scirocco =) [Which is selling so well here, I'm getting bored seeing so many units on the road]

Actually, come to think of it, the front of the Avante looks somewhat similar to the Honda Fit, especially the older version. And the rear of the Avante takes the design from the previous Sonata.

Only that the Avante is the curvier combination of the 2 cars mentioned above.

Elentra and i45 is only 20k different now. which will you take??

If i am not wrong i45 is the basic model that is different by 20k to Elentra full specs.

yep, the base model of i45 and high spec elantra with S/R..

personally i don't like i45.. to me i find it ugly [sweatdrop] so i will go for the elantra.

and 20k is quite a huge difference. that's about additional $200/month on installment..

hi to all bro & sis, here is another link to the new avante 2011 (Elantra) shown in video.

i assume you are talking about the gps and the park assists?

yeah, i find it sad that our so called higher spec model doesn't come with inbuilt gps.. although i find the parallel park assist abit redundant.. <_<

Yes, u r right. other than that, we also missed the shark fin antenna, rear centre passenger seat head-rest, nu engine, GDI, 17" sport rim, choice of leather seat and HID etc. ....many more and price change, change and change. am i right?

if this time, coe wouldn't drop, i do not know how much again need to top up liao. since kmc set a rebate only at $35,000, which is far far behind the present coe cost.... btw how many of Elantra 2011 buyer bid successfully this round?

Me,me, me....... CUM OF ENTERTAINMENT during the COE bidding. Wahaha...

I guess None bah, cos the T&C for AD was a 6 Bid Non-Guaranteed and they dun offer Guaranteed bid. They got lots of time to play with it til June Delivery. I spoken to my wife saying if the SE didn't secure the COE by the time the car arrived, I would either proceed to Chevrolet, Renault or VW. If they cannot secure my COE by the time the car arrived, what the point of giving them bizness for. As far as I am concern, Genuine Buyer who sacrifice testing the car cos there is none to tried and who have placed a trust in car brand reputation and if they dun fulfilled the Buyers Simple need of paper of owners for the car. What is there to talk more. Think they better buck up or else they will be losing more potential customers. Their 6 bid Non-guaranteed policy going to kill off lots of deal. And there is no Negotiation for Guaranteed bid even if buyer willing to fork out more $$ just for that purpose.

As from the experience, for those who booked the first shipment.

Mostly they can get their ride once the shipment arrived.

Reason: KMC also want to have more new MODEL on the road. This is also another kind of free advertisement. More ppl saw the new model can draw more to visit the showroom. Therefore, they will try to secure the COE as much as possible and let more new car on the road.

Since, KMC is not selling cheap so I believe they will do as what I predict. (This might apply to the FRIST shipment only.).

Just my 2 cents.

Did u test drive the current Jetta?...I find the single clutch draggy but do not have the chance to test drive the dual clutch (if technical term not used properly, apologies...just repeating what SE said)...;)
