There is really no turning back from a Mazda 5 to Biante if one is willing and ready to pay at that price-point. But I would willingly trade the paddle shift with cruise control as never use it at all since taking delivery, haha.

u meant Biante doesnt hv cruise control? ooh...

It also doesn't have auto headlight and auto rain sensor. All of them not major features to me.

Actually they are options,S'pore bound cars are stripped out of these options to keep the OMV low.

Auto lights & Rain sensor are good to have...

$149k, for non guranteed COE. Top up $3k for guranteed COE.

The Biante OMV is only about $1K more than the Mazda 5 but it is selling more than $20k more. Seems like the agent is making huge profit from this car.

I was looking at the pic in sgcarmart. Only the navigation/entertainment system could be locally fitted.

From my experience, auto headlight always suka suka turn on even when it is not that dark. And I never travel north so far.

That is why both are not major features for me.

No wonder can ask for $5k discount.

Now you know why? [grin]

Sometime we need to be flexible abit. If you too rigid, then no way you could buy an Odyssey even though you love it very much as its profit margin is so big! So not only conti, jap ADs also very unscrupulous.

no la, it's not 30% "profit" bcoz 115k is only the basic cost. there r some other costs to consider as well. rental, demo cars, ad, staff cost, ceo/directors' fee, "free" extended warranty (if any), etc...

most cars now r selling at higher margin due to lower sales (limited by the number of available coe).

eg. KM is only selling abt 40 cars a MONTH, how to survive if margin is low?
