Heartlander Turbocharged April 15, 2015 Share April 15, 2015 hello biante bros... may i join the club? collecting my white biante next week wondering if anyone did paint protection? or changed rims? or changed speakers? any other tips would be much appreciated. thanks. Congrates and welcome to the club! Sorry this place is very quiet as those who choose this ride tend to be more reserve type, haha. Think a guy has shared what he has done to his car, perhaps you want to pm him for details if he is not here to answer. Personally I do waxing myself every few months. This Biante very easy to wash and wax as its panels are all very straight. And due to its high roof, very easy to access the cabin to wash the interior, no need to bend your back so much. The only complain so far is the speaker sound no good due to lack of tweeters. Imagine such a big car and the front speakers directing at your feet level. Even a cheapo component speaker with tweeter would make a lot of difference. Anyway, the price difference between this ride and other full-size MPVs is widening. Latest round of price increase is only $3k for Biante while much more for some usual suspects, especially Elgrand. And on a side note, recently I pumped petrol when the mileage meter of dashboard display indicated can run for only another 4km. Still can make it to petrol kiosk to refill, haha. Not good to try as might get heart-attack. Good to know though that the meter can be trusted. Anyway, enjoy your ride and hope it can serve the needs of your family well. ↡ Advertisement

indie-yakuza Clutched April 16, 2015 Share April 16, 2015 curious as to how you all use the centre row of seats. more often as a bench? or more often separated to have a walkway? when separated, still need to move forward seats to access last row? Royong99 Neutral Newbie April 23, 2015 Share April 23, 2015 I did my ICE in JB...actually if you're not into high end stuff any audio shop in SG/JB will be able to do up for you...I do however recommend an amp to go with your speakers. Did my pps with Revol...nothing fantastic honestly cos it is not something that can be 'seen', just a peace of mind. Enjoy your ride!
Heartlander Turbocharged April 24, 2015 Share April 24, 2015 Would any Biante owner who change to component speakers share a picture of how they do up the tweeters on A-pillars? Many TIA.
indie-yakuza Clutched April 26, 2015 Share April 26, 2015 been almost a week since i collected the car. very happy with it so far... wife and kids love it too! like many of you, i always disable istop before driving. handling-wise, it's ok... my previous ride was a honda civic 1.8. i think i've been extra careful coz it's a new car and not coz it's a big car stock speakers really quite crap compared to civic. so going to change front speakers tomorrow

Very fast sold already, now can't view it on sgcarmart except through the link I provided above. And didn't realise the COE paid was $93,889! Just curious was it purchased by someone from this forum? Very glad the demand for this ride is so good. Edited May 26, 2015 by Heartlander

Heartlander Turbocharged June 16, 2015 Share June 16, 2015 Can anyone advise whether Biante can go into Changi Airport Terminal 2? You won't get much replies here as not many drive Biante, haha, Recently I drove to T2 and has no issue parking there. Anyway, T3 is of 2.1m.
Dylan1218 Neutral Newbie June 16, 2015 Share June 16, 2015 I suppose it apply to all levels for the T2 carpark. How's FC?
kmttan 4th Gear June 22, 2015 Share June 22, 2015 We went to the showroom to see Mazda 5. Not impressed so we went over to check out Biante and were very impressed by it and it costs just $17K more than Mazda 5. At $143K after all the discount, it is about the price of Wish!. Of course, still need to add $7K bank interest. Without bank loan, the price is $146.5K. This is a very good price for a full size MPV. The sense of space is huge. The windscreen looks infinity and beyond. There is also $1K over-trade for trade-in cars. The white leather looks nice. But I think it won't last. The agent said it will cost $200 to change the leather color to black. Anyone here changed the leather? There are a lot of glasses on Biante. In Singapore weather, I think the visor must also be darken further.

Please take the option to change to black leather if you going ahead with the purchase, else be prepared to clean the interior frequently if you have young kids who climb all over. The huge cabin space would make staying in the car very bearable if park under hot sun for awhile without turning on the aircon, unlike my previous rides which became very hot quickly. And if you have to park the car somewhere to wait for your kids, this is a very comfortable place to be in. Do not worry about reliability, even though this is not a Txxxxx. My ride has been with me for > a year without any issue, changing fuse for head unit uncounted as it is aftermarket. This is a domestic model for Japan after all. And get ready for FC of about 9km/L if your travel pattern involves a lot of short trips and getting caught in jams.
Trader Clutched June 22, 2015 Share June 22, 2015 2 questions. What pressure do you guys pump for your stock tyres? The sticker at the door states 220. I pump 230. What is your average FC? 9L/100km you sure? I have been driving for 6 months plus, my avg FC is 14.1 now. I have never hit 9 for FC. Even the lowest was around 13. kmttan 4th Gear June 22, 2015 Share June 22, 2015 http://carparkheight.blogspot.sg/2013/07/consolidated-carpark-height-limits.html?m=1 Quite a number of car parks too low for Biante.
Trader Clutched June 22, 2015 Share June 22, 2015 Don't worry. The list is not accurate. Many carpark have upgraded their ceiling height. For example, Mustafa carpark height is not correct. It is more than 2 metre. I have driven for half a year, 99% of the car parks I go to is above 1.9m. It is the norm. As long as the stated height is 1.9m, you are safe. Just be careful of some carparks where certain lots are below the stated height. For example, I can enter Funan carpark but have to watch out for certain 1.75m lots. (They do have warning signs.) It depends on the places you go more frequently. If it's just the occasional place you go which is below 1.9m, just park at the next building. You will love the cabin height. It's easy to walk through. It is easy for us to carry our kids in and out of the 3rd row. ↡ Advertisement
