Enye Hypersonic July 19, 2015 Share July 19, 2015 No lah, the binate is not that spacious haha. The second row was pushed quite back but still leaving enough space for 3rd row passengers. If pushed all the way, the back of 2nd row would be touching the 3rd row, and 3rd row bench can be folded up to provide more space. Then u must take pic of legroom of 2nd row If not for the centre aisle which u can stretch your legs into, the 3rd row legroom looks tight ↡ Advertisement
Trader Clutched July 19, 2015 Share July 19, 2015 My third row is more spacious than that photo. He has pushed the second row too back. I suggest those interested to do their own legwork and test the cars in showroom. See pictures not accurate. Go and try all the car models you have shortlisted. When you see the cars, get two or three adults to sit on each row to gauge. Consider the trade in value they offer you and any over trade. Consider the cost differences and warranty. All misc things like solar film and mats etc are not important. It is better to get your own, especially solar film. Not all solar films are of the same grade. It is better to do your own research and get a better grade solar film. A good solar film will make a big difference in your comfort.
HS_LO Clutched July 19, 2015 Share July 19, 2015 Biante is by agent. Those examples you quoted is by PI. Biante is covered with 5 years warranty by agent with full servicing include full parts and labour. PI cover by third party garage, may not cover 5 years and definately not full parts as years increase. With agent car, you have no concern for parts after warranty. With PI cars, plus those models you compare with aren't so common, have to think about parts. Not a difficult choice. There is no perfect car. We have to look at the whole package. Noah and Voxy are smaller than Biante. You get the few cms in third row seat but what you lose out? Stepwagon is also smaller and 1.5. Thanks for advice. Went to checkout the PI Noah & Voxy also, the PI can also offer 3yr 60k warranty by Optima Werkz which has stock on the spare parts. Price wise PI chesper and give guaranteed COE plus freebies. Overall Package looks more attractive.
Heartlander Turbocharged July 19, 2015 Share July 19, 2015 I just used a measuring tape. For Biante, 3rd row seat height is 30cm, 2nd row is 36cm unless pushed quite back then become 32cm. Front row seat height is about 37cm. I have not measured seat height of any other cars, so can't comment. But basically Biante seat heights feel comfortable for me all along, based on butt feel. indie-yakuza Clutched July 22, 2015 Share July 22, 2015 been driving the biante for around 3 months. carried full load on many occasions and never had any complaints about seat height or discomfort. passengers always praise the spaciousness. can't comment on voxy, noah or stepwagon as i didn't view them. i picked biante as it's the only jdm minivan with agent support. it's not the perfect ride of course. the main negatives are: 1. only 2 airbags 2. low omv 3. height restriction for some carparks if you can live with the above, the biante is a functional choice that will serve your family very well. anyway, my fc according to the dashboard is 9.3l/100km. tyre pressure i always pump 230. pricewise, i paid $148k (coe value at $76k). hope all that helps. Good summary. Functional, value-for-money, given the ridiculous prices of cars in SG. If money is no issue it would be Elgrand or Vellfire for me. This car is now on my radar, after today's COE drop of 7k, I'm keen to see what's the next price revision. $132888?
kmttan 4th Gear July 24, 2015 Share July 24, 2015 The sales told me that the leather comes in only one color. If I want to change, must pay $200 more. Is that true for you? While I agree that white color leather looks really nice, it is not practical with kids.

HS_LO Clutched July 26, 2015 Share July 26, 2015 Biante: 5 years Full Warranty by Agent. Triplets: 3 years Limited Warranty by PI. The Biante price $132888 come with 3 yr warranty only, as Màzda has factored the discount in lieu of the extended 2 yr warranty. Therefore no diff between Biante and Toyotà triplet in the warranty aspect.

Generally AD workshops are more comprehensively stocked, and would have proper training from Japan to deal with each new rides, which would be completely lacking for PI assigned/engaged workshops. And you would be worrying about warranty recalls. It would not be equal, imho.

Good luck doing that with PIs. My aftersales experience with a PI in the Toh Guan area was terrible. but LL... esp when now prices between AD and PI are so close. just buy from AD. Can top up 2k to the current $132888 price to get 5 year warranty (full parts and labour). Those who get from PI, be careful to check the warranty terms. During my search, I found out that some PI warranty are not full warranty. They have a list of items for their warranty. First year cover a list of items, second year cover a smaller list and third year even smaller. That was why I decided to go for agent full warranty. As last time when I own a Toyota, some item only warrant for 1 yr e.g. battery & cd player, other for 2-3 yrs e.g air-con ... - full servicing (part & labour) - include all part required for the servicing e.g ATF, coolant, brake pad, air filter and what not that follow the servicing manual schedule? if all this is included then it is a very good buy :)
Trader Clutched July 26, 2015 Share July 26, 2015 (edited) I don't buy car asking if they provide warranty for cd player, ATF, coolant, brake pad, air filter and what not. My peace of mind comes from knowing i have 5 years of full parts and labour coverage for engine parts. If those are important to you, you can check with the PI or agent.
