Pocus Turbocharged September 7, 2011 Share September 7, 2011 I personally do not have friends commit suicide but Wife had a friend's sister who commited suicide. Sister was having a relationship with a married man. Was discovered by her own parents. The parents tried to stop her from seeing the man and dunno what happen things got violent and the girl commited suicide in front of the parents, took a kitchen knife and stab through her own chest ripping the heart. Imagine that! The girl was so lovestruck that she had the courage to stab herself in the chest. Doctors tried to save her and suggest some injection to the chest to stop the bleeding and possibly save her. 1 jab is $20k, the doc did 3 jabs before giving up. My wife's friend's sister pass away just like that. At age early 20+. It was the most solemn and sad wake I've attended and my heart broke when I see the mother, use to be lively and cheerful, become so frail and devastated, eyes swollen and infected. Same goes for my wife's friend. Heard that the guy, around mid 30s, came to the wake and was barred from by the relatives. The guy tried to ask for forgiveness but was rejected. I personal feels that the recent opening of Casinos in singapore are breaking families. You now of anyone that is in serious trouble due to gambling issues at the 2 local casinos? due to what? I have friends who ran away becoz of soccer debts mounting to 5 figure and they were only in their late teens/early 20s. And the nearest casino was in Genting. It's not the casino...it's men. Ended up suicide and passed away....Singapore is too stressful liao... in singapore if you think u are rich...there will be some one richer 10 or 100 times richer... whether one likes it or not life in singapore will be stressful if one cant take the stress go migrate to a third world country or aus....the pace of life there is more relaxed anyway once a singaporean always a singaporean..... anyway there are always outlets to relieve stress like sports or exercise......
