Wishcumstrue 6th Gear September 23, 2011 Share September 23, 2011 "It's bumpy, which is uncomfortable in the cockpit and makes the demands on concentration very high, and, on top of all that, it is incredibly hot and humid, even though we're driving at night ....those little subtleties of light are something you really notice at 180mph. Just think of what it's like when you're driving at night on a motorway and the lights are flashing past you. Titaniumr Neutral Newbie September 23, 2011 Share September 23, 2011 SG track has practically no overtaking space, far from Monaco. Overtaking is what a race is all about. Until it's a proper F1 track, F1 certainly can use a better venue.
Wishcumstrue 6th Gear September 23, 2011 Author Share September 23, 2011 SG track has practically no overtaking space, far from Monaco. Overtaking is what a race is all about. Until it's a proper F1 track, F1 certainly can use a better venue. Street tracks are never easy to overtake and that applies to Monaco too. What make Singapore tougher is what Webber had described. Just this week, 2 other drivers also agreed Singapore is even tougher than Monoco: Jassen Button says the bumpy track + climate + many laps + max 2 hr race time is very "draining". He prefer to shortened it due to driver exhaustion. Felipe Massa thinks 1 lap here (Singapore) = 2x laps of Monaco.
