Yes I'm hoarder, but I don't hoard to resell, I hoard for my own usage :D

Im just curious.

Do u hv any problems when u keep changing the eo u r using?

Usually when u drain there wil always b a little left inside so u r actually mixing different formulations.

If u keep trying new eo everytime, there wil b several formulations mixed in yr eo all the time. Is there any problem with different additives "fighting" with each other?

I wouldn't worry about mixing oil, as long as they are good quality engine oil.

For those with engine leaking oil, any oil is good.

Better than a seized engine.

For those with engine leaking coolant, same thing.

No need what super coolant, even tap water is good, as long as it prevents overheating. :D

So sometimes, we spend too much time for some little things.

Mixing oil is much better than not changing oil right? Can't go wrong with that logic :D

Yes but given the choice of mixing oil n using one type, I wud rather use one type.

I just wondering if mixing many different oils with different additives cud cancell them out or have some effect? [confused]

To be honest, I have no answer to your question. But I like to try various affordable oils, especially now that there is free shipping from Amazon. German Castrol is cheap!

In my previous Altis, I went from Toyota Mineral (for initial break-in) to Mobil 1 to Schaeffer to Mobil 1 to Citgo Mineral to Mobil 1 until I sold it.

Engine never had any issue.

I go by genie47's mantra, the engine just needs the oil to generate pressure. As long as the oil flows...

My concern is the different additives in different oils.

Wil ty hv any bad effects on each other?

If the car is old n cheap, then dun care but now car so damm expensive, any major overhaul wil cost a bomb. [:(][bigcry]

Mixing different engine oil and petrol brands will NOT cause damage to the engine.

I have been doing this for years and no problem.
