Spring Moderator March 6, 2016 Share March 6, 2016 (edited) Wow! Nice ride. Very Low mileage too. Was it ever use for the air show?Normal new car mileage is approx 20-30km so this being 250km should be used abit but nevertheless as good as new n with few k discount to boot, quite a good deal I feel. Some PML mgmt cars sold by PPSL as used have a 2000-3000km mileage on it n they only get a discount of $10k-$12k thereabouts so I think this airshow version is a better deal provided they didn't strip down the options compared to the usual model. Any congrats to @vapourh2o!! Edited March 6, 2016 by Spring
Vapourh2o 1st Gear March 6, 2016 Share March 6, 2016 Thanks! It's a nice car to drive, the ZF gearbox is very responsive. Wow! Nice ride. Very Low mileage too. Was it ever use for the air show? I guess my car only did a couple of runs for the VIPs. According to my SE, the higher mileage ones are the bigger cars as they are better for ferrying VIPs, there's a X3 with almost 500km clocked, and earlier in this thread, one of the drivers mentioned clocking 950km in the 520i. The discount is $20k off the RRP of the brand new 318i, but these Airshow models doesn't come with Sat Nav and Connected drive, otherwise everything is the same as the normal 318i including the full LED headlamps, cabin ambient lighting and welcome door lights. The OMV is a couple of $k lesser than normal 318.

Thought the Airshow models also come with smaller (16 inch rims), non-sports trim (i.e. No coral red and black high gloss interior, different speedometer, no red stitching and detailing), no front sports seats? But in any case, I'm sure it drives like a BMW should and that's the most important!

Haha and the normal speedometer, matt aluminium dashboard, no sports seats. Pretty much the standard BMW business trim. But I really like the interior cabin lighting, which includes the lighting behind the radio panel shown in this picture

Newbie26 Hypersonic March 7, 2016 Share March 7, 2016 Nice. How come it is left hand drive? Does not matter if it has slightly low specs or less features. Drive a few years and by the time you sell, not many will remember that's yours is an airshow car The depreciation will be less. Some more, with 18 inch, it will look much better than the rest. Can the axles take the bigger rims and the ventilated brakes able to support the bigger rims? After all this is a 1.5 litre 136 hp 3 series, not the more powerful 320 variant. Petrol consumption wise will it be much less fuel economy? ↡ Advertisement
