i take it once out to edit the photo.....its fun but largely ceremonial and decorative [laugh]

I was kindda excited abt the S Pen at first.. But after a few times of exploring with it, grew tired of it.. Hahaha.. It would be useful for people who draw alot.. Becuz the sensitivity is really amazing..

One thing I dun like about the Note/Android Gingerbread is taking of screenshots.. You swipe ur hands over the screen to do a screenshot.. But I read somewhere ICS uses the same sort of screen capture as Iphone, ala pressing 2 buttons at the same time..

But is the keypad on note bigger than S2 and I-Phone? Cause i always have problem using the keypad, as the buttons are too small.

The keypads are definitely larger den Iphone's.. And bro Acemundo is right, it won't completely eradicate the issue.. If you tend to type your messages very fast, it is still likely for you to have some typos.. But definitely the frequency is lower den when using a Iphone, at least for me..

If u use the phone horizontally when typing messages, then there shoud be no problem.. But there's a problem with holding the phone horizontally, becuz you won't be able to see your current conversations as the text box for your typing and the keypad takes up the whole of the screen already.. (Anyway to change this?)

Also, there are plenty of keyboards on the market for you to choose from.. That's what I love about Android.. Highly customisable.. (Dun wanna live in a "jail" no more.. LOL) There's one particular keyboard dat uses a slide technology and predicts ur entry.. Pretty handy, but I still prefer the traditional keypad..

You use the edge of ur hand, from pinky down to the end of your hand.. Swipe it across the screen from right to left..

You can also use the stylus.. Press the button on the stylus, hold down the stylus on the screen for 1-2 secs.. By doing it this way you can edit the image right after capturing the screenshot..

true but the display on IP4/IP4S is still sharper than GS2.

Not sure about SG2, but I'm pretty sure Note's display is comparable or better den IP4S.. Let alone IP4.. 4's display totally cannot make it against the Note..

Traditional keypad definitely better and easier to type. I dont really like those keypad on touch screen, always got typo when typing. [:|]

.........

But warning... once you start using the Note, it will be impossible for you to use any other phone with a smaller screen!

True, once you start using the Galaxy SII, you can't be bordered with the heavier primitive brick called Iphone4 with a smaller screen.

Actually if you compared the Iphone 4's retina screen and the Samsung's Super AMOLED screen. The retina screen is still sharper and wins hands down.

But the screen size of the iphone 4 is so small the samsung's screensize already made up for it.

Unless you are a tech geek, screen size is still more desirable than a sharper screen in a normal human eye.

Tip for Samsung Galaxy users who switched from Iphone:

Problem:

Using the samsung S2 for 2 months, I felt the stock keyboard in the S2 is not as user friendly as the iphone. The predictive text is very robotic is picks the closest text of your spelling mistakes. So in the end rubbish is displayed. Iphone's spellcheck is smarter and they sort of predict what you want to type while comparing with you previous texts. should sometimes they changed to the wrong words that make the whole text funny but the samsung is worst as the text got no meaning at all!!

example

You meant:

"Later just take lift to the first floor."

In iphone the spell check may change to:

"Later just take lift to the fist floor."

In S2, the spell check will change to:

"Karen just raw lift to first flier."

I'm not sure if you know what I mean but I was struggling at first.

Solution:

Then I FOUND my saviour!!

Android Market: GO keyboard (free) - Download it!

After installing and selecting GO Keyboard as the default keyboard, go to settings:

Input settings:

Key Correction: On

Display Suggestions: On

Auto-Space: On

Auto-Complete: On

Auto-Capitalization: On

Sliding Mode: Off

Learn New Words: On

RTL: On

Viola! Works like iphone's keyboard!

Addition stuff you can explore:

- Sliding mode like SWIPE

- Themes and color customizable

- customized keys to display

- etc..

I agree, GO keyboard is the best. For battery wise, there are lots of cheap battery options online. There are also reputable brands around and its darn good, down side is the weight it increased...

when you compare you need to quantify what aspect and by extension the basis. when i mentioned sharpness, i was referring to pixel per inch ie ppi.

iPhone 4S has 329 ppi as compared to 284 ppi for Note. 329 ppi is already at the threshold beyond which the human eye is unable to appreciably distinguish differences in ppi.

iPhone 4S however is still on SLCD which is inferior in terms of contrast ratio compared to AMOLED. And of course other points of comparison i have not touched on.
