No wine. Usually wont be too expensive bah if u stick to pasta.

i hardly do wine pairings in italian dining. Anyway back to topic. For budget, i feel Saizeriya is very good bang for buck.

For Pizza, i recommend Da Paolo's Pizza Bar. it is been a very long time since i frequent Prego's so i don't dare to cite it.

I second Saizeriya. They sell escargot for less than $10.

For pasta, home-cooked Italian style, I would recommend Pasta Brava. The budget alternative would be Salvatore Al Fresca/Pasta di Roma.

You could also try Michangelo's for some moderate pricing and decent food. Another recommendation would be Amici, but they are priced slightly above moderate.

My personal favorite would be Valentino's. Very welcoming place and great service all round to every guest. Although, booking has to be done around 2 months in advance.

Recently, I have heard some good reviews for this place called Peperoni's? Apparently, their pizza is not bad and cheap!

Of course, there are the crowd favourites like Forlino's, Pasta Inc, even Modesto's!

You could check hungrygowhere for the average damage cos the dishes ordered and the wine pairings make plenty of difference. [;)]
