Deckbuild 6th Gear March 1, 2012 Share March 1, 2012 bro, i also frequent melaka regularly. it seems to me most of the pump station are very on the bola. they will tell me very specific that i can't pump 95, only 97. so far, I tried petronas and shell only. i have no issue with pumping 97 at all, but the thought of saving more than 50% if i pump 95 is really enticing. Of course enticing lor bro, my matrix suck petrol like no tomorrow. The funny thing about my car is when I travel at 100kph I get 13km/l, if I travel at 110kph I get 10km/l. If it's some fun car that I'm driving, even at 8km/l is alright but not this car, thats why I always trying to pump 95 whenever possible when I'm in Malacca. In JB, normally I don't bother since I get to claim. One thing for sure, if it's white front, rear yellow car plate, you can forget about pumping 95, it's so easy to spot. ↡ Advertisement

If you frequent that far, I suggest you change to m'sia style plate and try to pump 95, of course it's up to individual. Most of trip up, I will pump RM50 worth of RON95 at malacca and thats it. Normally hide behind another vehicle and I will hand over the RM50 note and walk away. They will just on the pump for me. After calculation not much saving anyway, enough for me to cover 110 km nia, to and fro malacca is about 400km.
Deckbuild 6th Gear March 1, 2012 Share March 1, 2012 there are places which allow u pump 95. but better lie low now... malaysians have posted lots of youtube vids of sg cars pumping 95, so you can expect operations and ambush soon... can't imagine the hassle if caught. Fine may be low but that's the least of your worries Just avoid doing it at JB lor, moreover it's quite huge saving already giving max discount on RON 92 in SG rounds to about SGD1.70 now, you actually save about SGD0.50 per liter. But i'll have my passenger to stand arnd the plate. Just to block the cashier from seeing our sg plates. Quickly drive off once finish filling. And usually I pump full tank in melaka, so need to go counter and tell them penuh. So they surely see my car, sometimes they even ask me to pay rm100 as deposit! Another trick is if u drive a msia popular car, it is easy to pump 95 as well.

No one bother to chap me Try to avoid sg credit card or even Malaysia credit cardnif u wan to pump 95, they will trace and lock ur card, I gave them up after my wife and in law card got block. Pity those Malaysian that drove sg car to Penang, pump 97 all the way.... Actually they are targeting Thais not Singaporean, those Thais went Malaysia with truck tanker to purchase over thousands worth of cheap fuel and to sell back in thailand. Spoil the market.... Kelpie 2nd Gear March 2, 2012 Share March 2, 2012 (edited) Hi all, I beg to differ from what some guys are or have been doing.. and sorry for being blunt: Why do Singaporean have to fill up RON95 when their laws specifically required you not to use RON95? Worse! openly telling others where are the petrol stations that allow you to "cheat" (really hate to mention this word). This must be worse that those who shake their car to squeeze in more petrol or stack up block to lift their car higher to sip in more petrol. Why make the Malaysian dislike us for behaving as such? Just my 2 cents worth. Regards, Edited March 2, 2012 by Kelpie
Friendstar Supercharged March 2, 2012 Share March 2, 2012 Just to save that few dollars? If u pump 100 times, u just need one time the police perform ambush, be prepared for ur car to be compounded and urself doing nude squats there. Plus a slap of 100k myr fine. Do a calculation. Life is about making calculated choices.
