just report it if you

deem its the right thing to do, does not waste your time, upholding justice, the driver should be pull off the road, etc etc

no need to ask around

but hor

whether the enforcement want to enforce is another matter

but at least you give them some job to do

we all sometimes try out luck at a red light once a while.

This sentence gave me 2 ideas.

1) I might know which coy owns this vehicle.

2) I have seen this van committing other traffic offences prior to this.

All road-users, not just drivers, who value their safety should have zero-tolerance for drivers & motorcyclists who drive through red lights.

I would like to share about two road incidences.

First, when my daughter was a toddler, she was being carried by day-care foster lady whilst crossing a signalized pedestrian crossing. It was already greenman and people were already crossing but a reckless motorcyclist did not stop and knocked down the lady and my daughter. Fortunately they were not badly hurt.

Second, few years ago, whilst I was driving from Clementi Avenue 3 (junction near to NTUC Fairprice) turning right onto Commonwealth Avenue West, I saw a man sitting on the floor at the pedestrain crossing near to Block 329 going towards NTUC. He was bleeding from the mouth and nose and some fellow pedeatrians were helping him. Right there on the left-most lane was a G-plate lorry stopped with its front protruding into the pedestrian crossing (not behind the stop line). I did not see the actual impact, but the collision probably occurred only a few minutes before. I don't know whether that pedestrian survived that accident as he likely got serious head and body injuries, but it seemed likely that the driver of that lorry went through red light. He probably thought that it was safe for him to do so since he was on the left most lane of that T-junction and vehicles from Clementi Avenue 3 will not reach and collide into his lorry before he cleared that junction.

The van driver captured on your first video also probably have the same mentality since there is no road from the left. He is most likely a habitual red-light beater. When such drivers managed to run through red light without getting collided into by vehicles from sides, they may increase by a few more milliseconds from the time they first saw the red light ..... till one day a serious right angle collision occurs and some innocent motorists (& passengers) or pedestrians get badly injured or killed.

We have to decide that safety of other road-users is far more important than his driving job (since he obviously has the attitude that "highway code does not aplly to me, only to others" and "I can drive whichever way I like because there is no TP/LTA officers or red-light camera to catch me" until his dangerous driving was captured by your unbiased DVR).

Though we can continue to discuss/argue & vote in this thread, please do not delay any longer to send your videos to TP for their action. The faster action is taken against him the safer for the large numbers of road-users who happened to be in his vicinity. And keep us posted of the progress & outcome.

2 channel means one facing front and the other behind.

Well, i think there are some really nice people in this forum when points like the van driver rice bowl might be shattered are raised. Just unfortunate the van driver does not think others life might be shattered thru his actions.

Since the video is already on youtube and i guess some members might even be mata, this case would already be brought up.

Nevertheless, having lost friends due to other's recklessness, i would never let such things go.

Dear drivers,

When I was sending my wife to work on Sat morning. I came across this Fiat that beat 2 red lights. Should I report him/her or give him the benefit of doubt?

Personally I feel that it is a bit dangerous to other road users but maybe thats just me and he beat the light just a fraction of a second after it turned red. The poll is opened and thread created for your suggestion / comments.

lol wat is the fiat van driver doing?

i am going to vote yes
