I also feel this is a very basic design failure which can be easily overcome. Sourcing for the right material and bolt will take a while.

However, there should be many similar bicycles somewhere here in Singapore, so it is not going to fail daily but you need to know, monitor and replace when necessary. Wonder would every owner know about this?

Hopefully, I will also try to source for a bicycle shop that does such modification. Will share once I have this fixed.

Same leh, this part broke off. I thought both ends of the rod should be thread and protrude out to support the entire stres. It will then lock with nuts and retaining pin?

I WhatsApp Passion Gadgets, they told me also to use locktite and replace the screws regularly like replacing tires.

It seems most trifold are secured this way. Strange but for trifold owners, I would suggest you check regularly. I fell in a park, cannot imagine if I am on the road.
