But the whole TMCR is less than 1km away from Changi Airport. I would think they have got relevant permit as it is possible to apply and be granted one. Anyway I am just pissed off by the entitled attitude of the 2 individuals, not really against anyone having fun there. But if I encounter another of this incidence, surely will not let them off so easily. Also I believe got people conducting classes there, read somewhere that is about $800 for 5hrs depending on number of trainees which is up to 4. When Do I Need A Permit To Kite Surf? A permit is required from CAAS when kitesurfing is conducted outside the area and height limits. Applications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. It will take 7 working days to process your application, as assessment will be conducted in consultation with the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF).

When it happen then, my thoughts were simply to complete the trip as fast as possible as not easy to be given time off to relax so I treasure the me time alot, not happy to waste my time like that. But it did piss me off enough that I would definitely stop the trip to confront any culprit if happen again.

You cannot even fly a palm sized toy drone there without caas permit, technically.

Otherwise caught long ago. The enforcement officers are very siao "on", believe me, as I fly drones at another location. The aux police frequently stop and check. B4 Brompton took over retail or distributorship of Asian Market, Distributors was doing a lot of marketing campaign. Once ppl see that shape, most ppl will associate it with Brompton. Now, Brompton not doing much marketing. Thinking the brand sell itself.

Heartlander Turbocharged August 1, 2024 Share August 1, 2024 (edited) Recently I got another Brompton clone, not the 16" but 20" type. I have got another Litepro 16" Brompton clone exactly 3 years ago and like the design very much except for a few flaws. First would be the twitchy ride due to smallish 16" wheels, not really stable when going over obstacles. Next would be the very troublesome procedure to replace punctured tyre especially the rear wheel. It is totally different from the other bikes with external gearing system. Have been following Liaoge videos and nearly got the version 3 from him until I stumbled across this 20" Brompton clone on Carousell. The bike comes with hydraulic disc brakes as well as aluminum frame. The seller touted 10.5kg but I never got around to measure the weight though I would think it would not go beyond 11kg. It did not come with a rear rack that is why lighter. The bike also came with Kojak tyres so save me some money. I spent abit more money to buy the Tiagra groupset to change the Sora shifter, rear derailleur and the cassette. It look exactly the same as this bike being offered by JackBike, with most components the same. https://www.carousell.sg/p/full-black-trifold-on-steriod-leggero-20-inch-trifold-with-disc-brake-schwable-tyre-and-tiagra-groupset-1269029899/ I have rode with it on TMCR a few times already and it definitely can go faster than the 16" Brompton clone, and ride so much more stable akin to a regular mountain bike. And I no longer feel the back breaking pain that I always experience with the 16" clone that surfaced after an hour of hard riding. Right now even after the 50km rides I do not feel any back pain so it is definitely another plus. This is definitely due to the microscopic handle bar stem that is height adjustable. I also do not feel as tired and with better timings in general. The bike is definitely not perfect, the 2 gripes I have would be that the crank is exposed after folding as the bike folds in opposite direction from typical Brompton bikes due to disc brake system, as well as the bigger dimension when folded comparing to the 16" bike. But not really an issue for me as I hardly fold my bike anyway. Certainly a keeper for now.
