I am indeed saddened by the news, The Bee Gees is/are my favorites of british band in the 60/70s.

As a kid, I used to listen their songs on Vinyl record sang by the Gibbs brothers, had struck me was 2 in my family of 5 english-educated, even my chinese bro was equally struck by their voices: Unique and pleasant easy ballads echoed thru my ears, I cannot help listening over and over again.

Growing up was fun and Bee Gees songs was a way to please myself and having a time of my own, I had not many friends.

I used to sing many of B.G songs in Pub, Karoake i.e Masschusett, I started a joke, Words, How can U mend a broken heart, & In the morning.

It was a crazy years growing up, knowing not much songs, only The Gibbs knows best.

I pray hard that he will make it thru, I feel for the brothers v much.

' Om mani padi ohmm ' X 3

this? ^_^

Do they (today's bands/singers) write or sing songs with such melodies / lyrics any more? maybe music has progressed and never looks back?

Though I'm from the 80s, I still very much enjoyed, and still do, all of their songs. Powerful vocals, meaningful lyrics. Can't say the same for today's "music", however.

I a big fan of Bee Gees in the 70/80s.

It was Too Much Heaven that I saw them performing on TV that got my attention.

I was hoping to catch them perform here one day until Maurice passed away a few years back. [:(]

Bee Gee "gave birth" to many artistes like YVONNE ELLIMAN and many others.

They have penned many good songs for other singers as well and

make them hits.

We can never find another group live Bee Gee anymore.

Sad, very sad.

They wrote that song "Heart Breaker" for Dionne Warwick?

Yes, this song, Heartbreaker, was written by Bee Gees and sung by Dionne Warwick together with Barry Gibbs.

Dear Bee Gees,

You painted my world with your soothing voices and touching songs when I was still an infant with music in the 80s. Your songs and performance on stage will forever live in my heart. To Robin, I hope you can recover well and whatever happens, you have done great things in life and touched many and you will not leave with any regrets.

Your fan.
