SINGAPORE: The former principal of Pei Chun Public School has been charged with having paid sex with an underage girl.

 

Lee Lip Hong is among 44 people to be charged in court on Monday.

 

In February, reports said 80 men, including a former school principal, were believed to be assisting in the probe.

 

The police said then that the investigation is part of on-going enforcement efforts to clamp down on vice syndicates.

like wat Roh96 said, it impacts the reputation of the sch directly... simply put it, a principal of the sch does tis which means how good the students can be and the teachers in the sch will be under his leadership? 上梁不正下梁歪。。。

 

A principal is simply a salaried employee, a civil servant who was posted to that primary school. How can you link the personal misdemeanour of this fella to the professionalism of the countless teaching staff in said school? What is the logic? I don't understand.

 

If you are talking about his moral authority, yes i agree, it is all gone. And thats why he has left. I just take offence at the fact that someone'e private affairs has caused the teaching abilities and reputations of many innocent staff to be maligned.

I agree. It's the fault of one guy, nothing to do with the rest of the staff and students innocent of the matter. If anything, the guilty persons, besides this one principal, are the people who put him there in the first place... poor judge of character!

A former police superintendent at the Police Training Command, Home Team Academy Jarrod Song Eu Loong, now known as Tan Wee Kiat was among the 44 men charged for having sex with an underage student in court on Monday.

 

As the Head of Strategic Planning, SUPT Jarrod Song was for training and grooming future police officers at the Academy. He reportedly tendered his resignation within 24 hours after being called up for questioning by the police. His name remains on the directory of the Singapore Police Force:
