Why must ONLY be David?

Why not Johnny, Kenny or Ah Seng?

Whenever I see this ad, damn Sian man!!!

Why can't be others?

Quit smoking

I am not amused at all.

Why ask SINGAPORE to help? Singapore never asked him to smoke in the first place! [rifle][bigcry]

I am irritated by the advertisement. I don't really see the point.

Whether he smokes or decides to quit, that is his own personal decision. Why need to tell the whole world and play it over and over again?

David keeps on telling us on the TV that we need to help him quit.

By the way, David, what type of help do you need from us?

Smuggled cigarettes [laugh]

This is not a smart Quit Smoking Ad.

I believe the end result is David managed to quit and all you smokers Tulan with this Ad, smoked more.

To all the Davids who want to quit.

Facts :

1. Its not addiction. Its a habit.

2. Its not impossible as many here had success.

3. Its not just for yourself, its for everyone around you who breathes.

4. Its not going to take long to quit, once you refrain for 2 weeks, you are already achieved 50% success. The other 50% is 3rd week onwards.

All you need to quit :

1. Come to terms with your habit - set a date

2. A strong Willpower will be needed.

3. Refrain from meeting friends or coming in contact with those who smoke = only 2 weeks to 1 month while you go smoke-free.

4. Keep your mouth and mind occupied

5. After your isolation period is over, meeting your friends who smoke is OK, BUT DON"T EVER EVER think you are invincible to take 1 stick, as if it won't affect you. As the next thing you do, you end up buying a pack of ciggies.

Remember Quit Smoking is a LIFETIME process.

You don't really Quit Smoking (if you are hardcore like me), you just stopped forever.

True. it's definitely not an addiction, it's a bad habit.

That does nothing to the body but harms it. Does nothing to the love ones around the smokers but causes worries.

To all kicking this bad habit: Please tell everyone around you that you are quitting smoking. Tell them not to offer you any or ask them to tell you off then you lighted up again. [thumbsup]

Turbocharged

When David decided to pick up smoking, it was his own unilateral decision.

Now, when he mulls whether to quit smoking, he advertise to the whole world to help him.

Is this appropriate?

Turbocharged

Coffee drinking has been my addiction for many years. And there are many negative effects of coffee.

For my own sake, I have done something about this bad habit.

Unlike David, during the quitting process, I have not advertised to the whole world to help me.

David should learn from me, really.

I am not surprised the actor is a non-smoker in real life [laugh]

The bad news: perhaps an ex-colleague of mine already too late to quit. His symptoms similar to lung cancer, and lost 10kg in less than 9 months (usually died within 9 months). He look slim now but due to ill health instead, and no sign of recovery.
