My question to u is : do u conduct interviews? [laugh]

Yes I do but I have never interviewed a weirdo,

thats cos I sieve thru the weirdos and never

invite them to waste my time.

Anyone that says I always interview weirdos

need to be better at assessing resumes.

I have never worked for any company that

did not employ duffers so please tell these

people not to give up hope.

Companies will always employ people

that don't know their job or are any good

at it. A lot of these duffers rise to senior management too.

Sometimes I think some ppl stay in a company for too long. Sudden company closure and they get retrenched, they feel displaced & lost. To ask them to seek new employment in new company they cannot go thru the learning process and try to adapt new environment. They can't picture themselves going thru it all over in a new company. Someone mentioned about the brain slowing down as we age. In other words ppl become more resistant to change as they grow older. They would rather sit on their hands and wait for opportunity to knock on their door. Weird huh?

Is she those holding high academic qualifications? Like to study a lot but when it comes to socializing and working in teams, these ppl just shy away. I come across such ppl before. Cannot interact with others. Dunno whether is it coz of no confident or have some kinda fear. Extreme introvert character.

These ppl cannot find job one lor. Some more the one I met is a guy. Funny thing is that he can interact & work with ppl during ICT . Whenever he get to know next ICT has a major exercise he would take MC and siam the whole thing. He say stress wor. Thru out the 10 years I never heard once he found a job lor.

When I was in sec 1 and 2, I had a classmate who was an extreme introvert.

Won't dare to look or talk to others, at all.

Dilbert is the only management book I believe in.

All the other management gurus I treat as academics

who never work in real companies.

Actually it reminded me of an episode from the tv show "world's worst mum". Some mums do not know what they are doing.

Guys no one is proud to be jobless or unemployed. I am 51,jobless for 5 years but I am not alone. I do have a few friends +45 still searching n searching for job and all engineering grad. We were all very successful in our career ,worked very hard and long hours till we all got replaced by FT. We living in a new era and we got side tracked.

U r 51, unemployed for 5 years, and still wanna surf car forum? Seriously u need to wake up your idea. If I'm 51 and unemployed for just 5 weeks, I'll make sure I take on any job I can get. Heck, I can even do 2 jobs. Oh, and the first thing I'll do is not to waste time, especially on car forums LOL

??? I am late thirties. If I lose my job in 45, I probably would not bother to find a job. So I am planning to be able to retire in 45. I think that is what EVERYONE in the technical line should prepare for.

Worst, I will find something I like to do and just do for "hobby".
