Locknload 5th Gear June 23, 2012 Share June 23, 2012 Had removal of "meat" aka cauterisation but did not help much. Eventually underwent remooval of polyps which had spread to forehead area, now ok. Best to check with your ent consultant on next procedure based on your condition.

TameDriver Twincharged June 23, 2012 Share June 23, 2012 any side effect after remove that dot of meat? i wanted to try for the tmc but i scare like if remove, no signal come if sickness about to begin like tonsil can act as warning i got ultra sensitive nose since young and recently sinus infection, the mucus can drip itself and smell worst than sai Can try flushing your sinuses with warm H2O or warm solution of sodium bicarbonate with a 10cc syringe Or purchase a proper nasal/ sinus irrigation set from pharmacy. It's unpleasant but u will get used to it.
TameDriver Twincharged June 23, 2012 Share June 23, 2012 (edited) 'Nose operation' is a broad spectrum term, your surgeon should be more specific. Sometimes a seriously deviated nasal septum can cause partial blockage to sinus drainage, which may lead to infection, congestion and pain. Or residual Adenoids (supposed to disappear after childhood) that gets frequently infected or also causing blockage. Or a growth like polyps which can be removed with higher success rate of non recurrence of nasal problems. For those with added problem of ' sensitive nose', after surgery to alleviate the symptoms, still have to modify your living environment by keeping dust level minimal. Do not go for an operation without having the surgeon explaining the exact procedure, illustrating with a diagram, which should be available in an ENT consult room. Happily1986 5th Gear June 23, 2012 Share June 23, 2012 Hi Folks, For many years, I have been bugged by my sensitive nose problem. I tend to have running nose easily and if it is not well-taken care of, it will result in more problems such as sore throat, cough and fever. The problem can be recurring. Thinking of going for a nose operation and have the problem resolved once and for all. Does anyone have any experience with such a nose operation? What is the cost, procedure, operation duration, side effects etc? Would appreciate your sharing of information. Many thanks. better speak with your ENT Spec. He or she will be in a better position to comment.
Shanhz 3rd Gear June 24, 2012 Share June 24, 2012 I have same prob too, tcm said that it is due to allergy. Usually it occurs in more forms than one. For example, my ose is lousy, i have eczema, and skin not very good. Some solution include no aircon during sleep, drink ginger tea. If u can, do qigong. Improving the qi circulation in your body will do wonders for many ailments.
Locknload 5th Gear June 24, 2012 Share June 24, 2012 What is the cost of such an operation, care to share? Bro - can't remember as it was about 15 years ago at NUH. They also did test for allergens by pricking upper arm with pollen, yeast, etc to assertain your allergic reactions. Follow-up treatment at the ent there entailed spraying nostrils with morphine and sucking out blockages. Again, best to consult your ent specialist for advice.
