If you run back to disconnect the cable, you end up like that.

If you run back to unplug the cable in the rain, you end up like that.

Well, partly is because in SG, a lot of our Toyotas' are bottom poverty spec.  I find the latest Harrier Hybrid, Crown, Camry all quite ok for interiors.

I did, just was not expecting such a big diff within Singapore weather.

Maybe Harrier, Crown and Camry interior still better. But if you see yaris cross and altis, interior too outdated.

Embarrassing.

Don't think this is electric though. As it's apparently very difficult for EVs to maintain traction for 4wd ascent.

Ya. This is a big showcase media event and Chery says car had equipment failure issue. This reflect  the quality control it has. Shouldn't it be at 200% of normal production QA? 😅

“Preliminary investigation confirmed that the direct cause of the accident was the accidental detachment of the safety rope anchor point on the testing device. This caused the safety rope to become entangled in the right-side wheel, obstructing power output and causing the vehicle to slide down and collide with the guardrail, resulting in partial damage to the guardrail. Fortunately, no one was injured and no damage to the natural environment was caused by this accident.”

"奇瑞汽车表示,这一结果暴露了奇瑞在策划和执行此次测试过程中,对潜在风险的预估不足,对细节的把控存在疏漏。特别是对选择在风景区公开场所开展测试引发的公众担忧,公司深刻反思"

Hmm...I always feel it is not Chery vehicle design or technology. It is their thoroughness and attitude on their process and procedure. No amount of process governance can overcome such oversight. First, was the axle which they said was due to the calibration of their new production equipment (if iirc), now they say it is due to their miscalculation of the risk. What's next? Can't change attitude overnight.

Just my mho 😊😄

In Chery statement, it was mentioned that the anchor point detachment.  What you highlighted is on this point rather than the Car.
