The accident happened westbound but the direction towards Changi Airport was also jammed because many motorists at the other side of the ECP slowed down to see the accident

I've always wondered... Each time there is accident, there're "personnel" on-site like the guy wearing green reflective. (see pix above by Mockngbrd. Guy wearing white helmet). Sometimes 2 or 3 arrive on scooters...

I always wonder what is their role on accident sites.

This is because, I feel, the 2nd most important job is not being done by anybody. (Most important job is probably 1st aid, and/or call ambulance).

2nd most important job, is to minimize impact of accident to other road users.

When lane #3 is down (occupied by accident), someone should direct traffic!

Stop lane #3 traffic, and let lane #2 traffic go, for 60 seconds.

Then stop lane #2 traffic, and let lane #3 traffic go, for 60 seconds.

Repeat.

Without this, lane #3 look at lane #2, I see u, u see me, i eat u, u eat me.... traffic clear very slowly.

The yellow colored Evo car was the one who caused all this accident and jam. Obviously he was speeding showing off to the Merc driver, but couldn't break on time and lost control of his car.

Sigh... why must have these people on the road? They ought to be jailed. Looks like the young Evo driver will need to pay for all the loses including National property! - lamp post, barragates, signages, flowers, etc. Luckily there's no deaths.

How you know it was the Evo who caused the whole accident? You mean you witnessed the entire scene or you stereotyping the Evo? You talk as though you were there to capture the entire scenario man... [grin]

It is obvious that one can't afford sports cars will always say sports car cause accidents.

They have better brakes & handling compared with the BBs....

They have power to escape while BBs.....

Haiz, one just need to work harder....

Think its the other way around. Usually see those lower powered car driving around very fast like as if they want to prove that their cars are not inferior and end up causing accidents. Those who have a powerful car normally no need to do these kind of stuff to show off. People already know their car is fast even if they aren't moving.
