Yes,

I have a 150degree wide angle DVR in front and a dual lens on the rear. Good coverage on both front, rear and both side doors

I was wondering if the majority of you guys install video recorder for the rear as well?

Im still thinking abt it though.

Is it necessary? Any comments?

Supercharged

Yes, my lipo batteries always in the car. My car 90% of the time in sheltered lots. Home n office sheltered lots. No problem at all.

So it means when your car is parked, you switch off the power from car battery, and activate the battery pack to run the cam? And vice versa when you drive the car?

Yes. But I not using car battery at all cos my car still under warranty and I dont want Komoco finding fault with me tapping from their electrical wires.

All my car cameras are powered by my lipo batteries and Tpower. I would switch them to either power source depends on driving or parking. Parking overnight is always using the huge blue colour lipo, 8000mah capacity producing 11.1~12.6V. I have two packs of this.

But how long can a 8000mah power pack runs a car cam? 8 hours or more?

Ya, the vios behind me kena wacked hard by Sonata Taxi uncle.

Seems to me the Vios a bit too kanchiong spider, jammed his brakes and leaving such big space in front of him. That may explain why the taxi didn't have enough time to react. The taxi probably saw Adrianli's car stopping so far ahead and didn't expect the vios to stop so suddenly.

I don't think the vios left too big a gap. It is just the perspectives of the camera lens. You cannot fault a driver for being for being too careful in an event like this. It is still the taxi fault for not leaving a sufficient safety gap or reacting fast.

I agree. But the taxi still mainly at fault for not stopping in time.

But if you did ebrake before. The time for reaction is only a split second and you jam brake hoping you would not langa into the front backside. You would not have enough time to care about how much distance you left for you and the front car until your car is fully stopped then you will realise.
